Service ok. Pork dish was very fatty & the scallops that were to be served on the plate arrived on a separate plate with an apology " sorry the kitchen forgot to put these on your meal"...... This is not what a fine dining restaurant does! They are charging five star prices but delivering mediocre food. You can find many... More

Service professional, timing between courses perfect. Every element of every dish seemed well-thought and carefully prepared, from amuse bouche to main and sides. Started with honey prawns wrapped in crispy noodle, followed by a "salad" of succulent pork belly and watermelon. For mains we had spanish-style seafood in tomato based sauce, generous with all types of seafood, enough chilli to... More

Situated on Scenic Drive, the view lives up to its address. The staff make you feel very welcome. The meals are superbly presented with the wine selections carefully tailored to the menu. The fish in particular was wonderfully cooked and presented. Make no mistake however, the prices are those of a fine dining establishment, not those of your regular central... More

Went for dinner, no view or atmosphere in the restaurant...music wasn't put on until later and we were the only people in there. Carpet was very old and bathrooms were crusty. Dinner was actually very tasty although overpriced. Service was average.

We eat here regularly and can't fault the god as service time after time! Throw in the amazing view and can't get a better spot for a long lunch with friends. Always go towards the tasting menu with matching wines which is great value for money! Do yourself a favour and give this place a go we have lost a... More

Went for casual family dinner, great food and service, had three children with us that the staff interacted with and made feel welcome. Highly recommend.

I've been to The Cowrie - at the top of the hill overlooking Terrigal - many times and have never known it to be other than completely professional in service and excellent in cuisine. It was my nephew's 53rd birthday, so I hosted a party of 10 (including my great-niece aged 10 and great-nephew aged 7) to celebrate. I also... More

We have been going to the cowrie for my birthday and also our anniversary for over 10 years, my husband has stopped asking where I want to go, he just books it. The food mouth watering, the view gorgeous, and fantastic service, thats ticked all the boxes for me...my only gripe " the scallops are divine but I need more"... More

We had an excellent fixed price lunch of very high quality. Lovely staff, attentive service and good wine. Would have loved a table with a view so will book next time. A further note - staff offered helpful unobtrusive support to older disabled guests and were equally helpful to family groups with small children

Went to Cowrie for our wedding anniversary. Nice view like everyone says! Entree and main were so divine. Bit disappointed a dessert but definitely want to go back there again for special occasion.
