Lunch Special

A lovely view for lunch. We were seated back from the window although the views are still quite impressive. It was a lunch with friends and we had the $49 special- most of us had the rib eye which was lovely and i also really enjoyed my prawn entree. One of the group was vegetarian and was well... read more

We attended a wedding and had a luxury private dining room with an amazing view! The food was absolutely beautiful, the nicest juiciest oysters I have ever consumed. Service was great and such a beautiful view, cannot wait to return!

Good local restaurant for us that delivers consistently good service and fresh seafood choices. Warm afternoons, ask for a table outside for magic lunchtime enjoyment.

The view here is spectacular and suitable for special occasions, which seems to be a common factor in their clientele. Have been a couple of times. The seafood platter is passable, the catalan version is quite nice. Had a chocolate fondant type souffle for dessert which had no fondant inside it. Service is very snooty and the price is more... My husband and I have been coming to The Cowrie for over 20 years. It has never ever disappointed. Amazing food, wine, service and food! Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

On the whole, good experience. I was a little disappointed with my steak which was overcooked. Not considerably so, but enough to begrudge the price of around $45. Flavours were still very good. Service was attentive, view is great. Try to be seated outside if possible, otherwise your view will be obstructed by your reflection.

What an excellent restaurant, we were greeted by friendly staff with a personal touch to our lunch menu. The food is 5 star, the service great and a fantastic view of Terrigal as a back drop. My family left there with all intentions of returning again. The seasonal set lunch menu is a must try, if you get a group... More

This is an excellent location to be able to sit back and enjoy. The friendly staff will cater to all your needs (including the fussiest of kids). Just about tried everything on the menu over the last few days and could recommend it all.

We asked to move tables as we were put at the front door under a fluro light. It was not a happy response from the waiters which made us all uncomfortable. The view is beautiful as is the food, wine and general service. Actual restaurant needs to freshen up decor and facilities. Curtesy bus was very handy.
