Stopped in for breakfast and the staff were great. Went back for lunch the next day and food was even better. Word of caution the serves can be large so check size with staff when ordering. Had the fish taco( which have never been game to try during countless trips to the US) and it was an excellent feed for... More

This Is a fish and chip shop, not a seafood cafe. It is a good one as far as fish and chip shops go, although not perfect. Chips were good ("rustic" chips are cross between chips and wedges) as was the battered whiting - although the serving size is not huge. Good selection of salads. Calamari pretty standard. A lot... I have been raving to my hubby since my last trip to The Mullet, so took a short trip down the M1 on a weekday for a nice quiet lunch - it was great to avoid the weekend crowds. I have an allergic reaction to a lot of oils with deep frying - but not hear - there is heaps... More

Stopped in here for some takeaway on a Saturday night. Fish was lovely. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. Only thing of concern was that whilst the lady cooking had long, pretty hair, it was not contained and I found one in my dinner when I got home...

The mullet is my local fish store, great customer service, friendly atmosphere, the only problem is the cooking of your fish is inconsistent one night it is fresh & juicy & another very dry. Really disappointing.

Lemon-pepper crumbed perch was great, as was the calamari. The chips were outstanding too. Really enjoyed the variety of stuff they had on offer, much more interesting than your average fish and chip shop "crumbed or battered". The atmosphere and service was friendly and fun as well. Would recommend.

I ordered a piece is Barramundi and beer chips as a take away. I was really disappointed with the size is the piece of fish - $8.50 for a piece of fish the size of 5 x 5cm (if that). I was told by the lady (who was friendly) that was the standard size they normally serve - 150g and... More

Hi thanks for your feedback. I find it very hard to imagine that your fish size was 5cm by 5cm as we fillet all our fish serving sizes to 150grams and they are weighed individually when filleting fresh every day. Our staff was correct in saying that sometimes our experience is that grilled fish does tend to shrink a little... More

Really good calamari. There are two types, crumbed and battered, Chips nice and fresh. We are locals, it's the best fish and chip shop in kingy.

We aren't into noisy crowds and stumbled upon Mullet and as it wasn't filled to the brim decided to try them for breakfast. I'm still trying to get my head around why they aren't always full as the staff were friendly, the food wonderful (we returned once more for breaky) and the coffee excellent. The chips are amazing ( no... More

My wife absolutely loved the fish taco. Great outlook and friendly helpful staff. Freshly caught & cooked seafood - the best on the strip.👍
