My partner and I decided to head here after doing some restaurant research, and were absolutely delighted. The food was great, the staff/service consistent but not pushy, and for someone super fussy like me the menu options are great! With us both being ex-hospitality workers we generally find flaws fast than other people, but we would absolutely recommend, and cannot... More

My husband and I ate here on our wknd in Byron with a couple of friends. Japanese is our favourite cuisine and we hunt for it every place we travel to so I may be being picky when it comes to this restaurant. The place has a sushi train as well as an a la carte menu. I was a... More

One of the joys of travelling alone is the freedom to do as you like at the dinner table - like write a review. So, here I am, at Kinoko, feeling invisible because I feel like I've gate crashed a sharehouse of cool young things. I'm not that old - not yet 40 - but here I am watching the... More

A great buzz in this restaurant whether you want to order off the menu (great Gyozas) or the sushi train. Very attentive service and quick turnover of food ensuring its freshness. Highly recommend!

This place is a gem. The food is delicious and the staff always friendly. The prices are very reasonable and the restaurant has a great ambience. We are frequent guests here and highly recommend it.

Food is OK. For Byron, prices are good. I would have preferred more Sashimi options on "the train". I agree with some of the other reviewers re service; be prepared to ask for things more than once. If you need a sushi fix at a reasonable price with out all the frills then this place will give you what you're... More

This restaurant has only recently opened with new owners and we were looking forward to some really good Vietnamese food. Unfortunately the dishes we ate were neither Vietnamese nor Chinese and lacked flavour. The entree of steamed dim sims looked great and the dim sims tasted good, unfortunately the dark soy sauce with it just drowned the flavour of the... More

The food here is consistently awesome. Unfortunately the service is consistently a fail. Flat out rude servers who have rolled their eyes on numerous occasions, let alone a manager who can barely acknowledge your existence as a customer paying $80 for 2 ppl at lunch. Reality check needed here ...

I come here regularly and the waitresses are always very cold and disinterested. I always get the Salmon sashimi, and the last time I was there, there were several bones that I had to take out of my mouth. Rather expensive, but the plates on the sushi train are always great!

I like to go here because it's honesty the best sushi in town , however I just can't stand the service or the staff they choose to hire. Not nice girls who come off so judgemental and honestly a little mean. I get it's Byron but your not to cool to offer people water or a menu.
