As much a destination as it is a Cafe

We hung at the Harvest 'precinct' sampling the bakery, deli, gardens and Cafe for several hours. They have certainly figured it out and I can't split Harvest and The Farm from that point of view. We had coffee and pastries which were excellent although I think the coffee down at the bakery was... read more

We enjoyed a delightful Saturday lunch with a large family group in the restaurant's warm and convivial setting The menu is relatively small, but with a sufficient range of tasty choices to please all of our palates. I enjoyed the excellent sourdough bread and local fish with some beautifully prepared sides. Was very happy with lemon myrtle parfait for dessert. Wine... More

Hadn't been there for a few years, but friends had been talking it up so we booked for a special occasion. Never again! Noisier than a public bar full of footballers and the staff made no effort to quiet the offenders. Impossible to have a conversation... The food was average and very disappointing given the raves from our friends. Below... More

The ambience and location of Harvest is very nice. The food has a lot of thought and care put into it although none of our dishes had great wow flavours (in fact the cauliflower cheese with pomelo and mussels just didnt work for me). Visually the meals were good. However, there was plenty of annoying upsell eg bread and olives... More

Drove up from Byron Bay for lunch after hearing about this old bakery. It is now a cafe only , we decided to stay for lunch as it all looked very nice. The menu is quite expensive , a bit different but the food did look very nice and fresh as they grow and make a lot of the produce... More

Five star dining experience on a chilly wintry eve. From the warm welcome at the door to the hilarious banter throughout the night, the staff and service was fantastic. I am absolutely useless at making decisions but they patiently answered my daggy questions and graciously let me try several wines to help me choose the perfect vino. Big shout out... More

We called in here for lunch on the way home from Brisbane. It was the last weekend of the school holidays and the restaurant itself was chaotic, catering I would guess for numbers of travellers as well as the usual local crowd. The bakery/providor outlet put together some double smoked ham, a beautiful cheddar and some rolls and we drove... More

We had a dinner at Harvest Cafe during a recent family trip to Byron Bay. The restaurant has a nice country cottage feel. Staff are welcoming and service was very good. The highlight of the dishes was the slow cooked lamb shoulder which me and my wife shared. Cooked to perfection. I would recommend to anyone visiting the area. The... More

This tucked away little lane is a reward for any travellers willing to leave the highway. You will find amazing food at the cafe, sweet and savoury treats in the bakery and may be even a treasure in one of the second-hand or antiques shops. It is always one of my haunts when in the northern rivers area.

once a quiet, out of town, local hangout with friendly staff, great food, drink, and a legendary bakery, both food at this restaurant are now horribly overpriced, served in tiny "nouvelle" portions, and drinks are overpriced as well. and though the staff are friendly, there is an unmistakeable air of attitude that just doesn't help one's digestion. a real shame...
