We had high expectations of this Restaurant, following several reviews, and reports from local residents of Byron Bay. For lunch I ordered 2 Side dishes ( Roasted Root vegetables and Steamed Greens). To my mind, "Steamed Greens" would include perhaps 3 different green vegetables. I understand, the idea of the kitchen is to use their own garden produce - fair... More

My family celebrated my sister's birthday here this week. Food great, atmosphere excellent. Service in the beginning was great, even offered a throw to keep us warm as the verandah was a bit cool. Then entree plates not cleared before mains arrived. Main plated cleared only for half the table and dessert not called away by staff member who finished... More

We attended the July Produce dinner in the old bakery, at the rear of Harvest Cafe on a cool winter's night. The open fire was lit and radiated a lovely warmth the whole evening. The tasting menu matched with wines of our choosing was a revelation with my favourite being the carrot cooked in paperbark, with ash and a carrot... More

We have a soft spot for this restaurant as our daughter had her reception here 18 months ago. Tristran and Cass are amazing hosts and such lovely people and their team is always highly trained and great spirits. This is the pleace where Oprah brought her crown to eat when she visited Byron as it is the best restaurant around.... More

The setting is unique in that the whole village is centred around the lovely idea of all home grown organic produce served from a characterful cottage cafe. The village is full of renovated white weather board cottages with beautiful encompasing verandahs with sweeping views looking onto the surroundng hills. The renovations and fit out are sympathetic to their heritage but... More

My husband surprised me yesterday with lunch at harvest café. A friend had told him about it so he took me there for my Birthday. The service was great. We had Sigourney serving us. The food was delicious. We shared the Charcuterie for an Entrée & it was superb. It came with some of their beautiful sour dough bread from... More

My wife Karen and I had been told by a couple of locals about Harvest. We were visiting from Adelaide and staying at Lennox Head just down the road. We went for dinner on a Thursday night. The ambience was perfect! We sat on the verandah with french doors alongside us open to reveal a gas log fire inside. We... More

Extremely nice surroundings. The cafe, deli and bakery are lovely and tranquil. Service was very good however took quite some time even for coffees to come out (but granted they they were busy). Food was very nice, however jamon (which I now know is more similar to procuito than ham) rather than bacon in a breakfast dish is not a... More

I only review places I absolutely love. Harvest has a charming elevated location beside a delicatessan of fascinating handpicked quality produce and edible gardens. The menu offered delectable choices and the owner Tristan was onsite, charming, personable and hands on... always a great sign. Food preparation should be a love, not a labour.
