I was told a lot about Harvest Cafe, it's warm welcoming environment, great food and fantastic service. Working in hospitality myself as a cafe manager I was interested to see another do called successful cafe restaurant and how they did things... Giving me some inspiration to bring back to my place.... Anyway, with a look at the breakfast I found... More

Like most people traveling to the area, Harvest Cafe is often touted as one of the best places for breakfast/lunch. Reading the reviews here from fellow travellers, one is perplexed why there seems to be a Jenkyll (majority) and Hyde (minority) positive/negative reviews to the cafe. Well, on our visit on a Sunday morning we definitely saw the Mr Hyde... More

We love this place. Great atmosphere, excellent menu and good service. We have eaten here a number of times for breakfast and lunch and can't fault the place. We will be back again for sure. Well worth a visit.

After living in the northern rivers for 14 years, this is still one of the best restaurants for overall dining experience. I have taken numerous friends and relatives for lunch and dinner over the years, and it is always a "must do " when they come for a return visit. From the ambience of the beautiful restored farm house, to... More

We tried this place twice. Once for bfast and once for lunch. Either way it was mediocre. Despite a lot of posturing from the staff, the dishes served were routine and quite pricey, given the remote locale. A third visit seems unlikely.

Walked here from where I was staying and only had a fruit smoothy, then found out it was the best in the state. Will have to come back to the area another time and actually eat there. Filled on a weekday at lunchtime so must be fabulous!

We had been told a to visit Harvest was "A must". We loved the sourdough bread served with local butter and a sprinkle of macadamias. Our main, the slow cooked lamb forequarter was excellent but so much quantity that we took it home for two more meals. The vegetables served were a little unusual but nice. The deserts looked fabulous... More

We went to Harvest on a busy Monday lunch with a party of 6 and no booking. The staff there made us feel very welcome and made every effort to ensure we were enjoying our wait for our table. They took drink orders and even food orders before we were seated. Once we got to a table the food and... More

What a lovely surprise to visit this pretty conglomerate of Resaurant, Bakery and Deli in the tiny village of Newrybar. We have just been there for our third visit in the past 10days and have enjoyed, coffee only, breakfast, and lunch. Have previously been for dinner about 2 years ago. We were blown away by the changes in 2 years,... More
