Thoroughly recommended

We ate here last night whilst on holiday in Byron Bay. The food was first class; we had garlic snails followed by the fillet of beef, and both dishes were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavour. A wonderful evening, a real authentic French experience! Wonderful wait staff with food that was just beautiful. Not the cheapest restaurant by any means but still worth it. Thanks so much.

the service was very personal and kind of friendly (though a little obtrusive) it almost seemed like we were expected to love the whole experience... or else... I wish I had read the reviews first, and managements replies, as it illustrates managements expectations of the customers.....

We were stayed in Byron Bay for 6 days and we went to a different Restarant everyday for lunch and for dinner. I can not fault the quality of the true authentic French food and service. I believe for us it was the finest food and dinning in Byron Bay.

The food is great, authentic French food, as good as any I have had in Australia. And of course Byron's not a bad place to have to come...the tartar was really good, and try and leave room for desserts. The wine list isn't too shabby either.

Firstly, I have not been to a more intimate and loving restaurant. The warm welcome and check ups made you feel like more than 'just a number'. Not only that, but they really care about their restaurant, the food and its customers. The food was amazing. I was born and bred in France but this food not only took me... More

We had an amazing night at The Petit Snail! To start we had a pate selection and kir royale aperitif and martini. The pork, rabbit and duck pate was beautiful - with the duck particularly amazing for flavour. For mains, we sampled some duck, seafood and beef - all beautifully cooked to perfection. Throughout the meal we never wanted for... More

Great host and hostess, they are very passionate about their food. We had the snails and they were perfect. Next we both truely enjoyed the beef, tender and cooked to perfection. Whilst a little more expensive than other restaurants in town, they included extras such as a small appetiser on arrival, sobet between courses and extra bread to soak up... More

Amazing, just amazing. My husband and I walked back from our meal in a daze. From the very first sip of the well recommended red, to soaking up the garlicky remnants of our escargot with a baked baguette.... The little touches like the palate cleansing red and white wine sorbet perfectly prepared us for one of the best meal of... More

A very enjoyable dining experience. Loved the choices on the menu, impressed by the little touches- amuse bouche, sorbet, children being able to order off regular menu 1/2 serve 1/2 price. and don't leave without ordering the creme brulee. Very hospitable owners and great service.
