Extremely tasty breakfast!

After spending 8 days in Byron Bay over Easter, Targa ended up being my favourite breakfast eatery. The scrambled egg was creamy and tasty, and the side of chorizo and mushrooms, perfect. Definitely worth a visit!

This was the best meal we had in Byron Bay on the latest trip. My wife said her souffle was the best lunch dish ever! The food was pretty simple, but outstandingly well done; tempura whiting (fish) was perfect, salads were fascinating. Also a brief but very interesting wine list including some pretty obscure Italian varietals. Overall: great experience!

Recently stopped for breakfast with my son and had the best BLT (Bacon Lettuce & tomato - with chutney). Yummy. My son had a the buttermilk pancakes with quinces - he enjoyed it; generous serve and interesting new flavours for him (he is adventurous with his taste buds) Service was slow at outside tables - had to go inside to... Targa restaurant is my favourite restaurant in Byron Bay and considering Byron is spoiled for choice, that's saying something. It was a very cold and wet winter night that my parents and I had dinner. We ordered the beef, the gnocchi and a steak, some Pinot Noir and tiramisu for desert. The service is always lovely and welcoming. There was... More

We popped in here with the kids for a coffee and cake one evening. We were impressed with the service. The staff were very friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. The cakes we had were delicious. My husband and I decided to return the following evening for dinner. The food was exceptional. We will definitely make this a... More

What a find! Our last night in Byron Bay and we strolled the streets looking for somewhere for dinner. We had been past Targa earlier in the week, and thought it looked inviting, but that was about it. We looked at the menu, I saw Gnocchi and decided we must have dinner there. Starting with a very fresh Caprese salad... More

Called in for cheese and a wine. Well we had the wine and after forty minutes we are still waiting for the cheese. How difficult is it to plonk some cheese on a plate. Wine overpriced Don't bother.

My wife and I ate here for dinner on a Friday night and enjoyed one of our best meals for sometime. We shared the Pork & Duck rillette entree then the Tempura whiting fillets and a special, roasted Pork belly. With a few glasses of wine, all recommended by the friendly and attentive staff, we had a great evening. We... More

Waited 40 minutes for bread and 90 minutes for dinner. Wouldn't go back. New owners and the place has deteriorated! The restaurant says they tried to compensate by giving us free bread and not charge us for our caesar ... Because they forgot to include the fish!!

Good location, good coffee, good service at lunch. The flatbread was superb. Tried again for dinner but they wanted us to be there early as the restaurant closed at 9pm. Seemed a bit odd over Easter...
