Sometimes the best places are hidden away off the main drag, and this is true of Heart and Halo. A relaxing little nook away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and pedestrians. The food is a wholesome blend of casserole and curried vegetables, bake dishes, high protein traditional Dhal with Basmati rice cooked to perfection. There is a salads... More

I have been a resident of the Byron Shire for 20 years, and during this time have been a customer at Heart and Halo for the past 5 years!! I have worked for Byron Bay Taxis and Limousines for the past 4 years and it is great for me to have a Good Food Bar that I know will always... More

I eat lunch quite often there. You can find really good vegetarian food, they cook up different dishes everyday so you will never get sick of either. And it's a vegetarian cafe but even if you are not vegetarian you would be satisfied!!

Travelling up and down the north coast of NSW it can be quite hard to find proper, good value and varied vegetarian food apart. A lot of the time vegatarian food seems to be just one dish on the menu put there for conveniences sake just so couples don't leave when they find nothing the 'girlfriend' can't eat:) I also... I came here for dinner with my girlfriend and expected a nice meal. I ended up with a super stroppy cook slopping the food onto my plate and slamming it down and to top it all off the food was cold! Service makes a huge difference to eating out!

My partner and I went here for dinner after reading the reviews and really looking forward to trying such an 'amazing' place. Unfortunately we had to deal with a super unfriendly host, who was unhelpful in talking us through the menu or even blessing us with a smile. They had run out of the first 'special' so we ordered the... More

The thing I like is that you get a range of options in the GF & vegan dishes. This is a basic presentation of very good quality wholesome food. Serving sizes are good. Pricing is also good value. Coffee was also very good.
