The food was excellent and the staff were lovely. The place is packed so you need to book. A great wine list, though you have to ask what sort of a nanny-state is the local Byron Bay law that says you can't serve jugs of sangria - only glasses! What a nonsense.

The food was luke-warm (tasted re-heated and not fresh), and left an after-taste of bitter, from-the-jar garlic. The sauce on the beef cheeks could best be described as "salty pus". Yuck. For these prices and the ridiculously pretentious and rude service, there are far better meals to be had in Byron Bay. It's tapas guys, get over yourselves.

On our last night in Byron we decided to try St Elmo after reading some great reviews. We were unfamiliar with alot of the menu and had never experienced tapas before. The staff were extremely friendly and suggested some delicious meals. Everything was divine! We didn't have any alcohol but the menu also looks fantastic. If you are heading to... More

A group of us went here for a girls night out, after reading some good recommendations and had a fabulous meal. We ordered a variety of meals to share including the cheese and meat platter to start, the lamb shoulder and a chorizo dish - all which were delicious. We had the pork belly as well, which was ok but... More

The tapas and cocktails were amazing. My boyfriend enjoyed the Manhattan on the menu, I thought that the menu spicy cosmopolitan was great! You have to get the Jamon Serrano tapas it is to die for. Also be sure to make a booking in advance to ensure a table, it is totally worth it! Loved it!

St Elmo's would be the top restaurant in the town centre. An extensive menu with a Spanish flare that changes seasonally with a sophisticated bar and vibe. Staff and management are genuinely helpful and friendly unlike a few other places near by. Well worth a visit
