Small cramped restaurant gave way to very attentive service, yet extremely overpriced foods. My girlfriend and I came from Qld for an anniversary getaway, and to experience some local Byron Bay cocktails and cuisine. On a whole the food was great beside the king prawn salad, which featured 3 prawns. These prawns were all cut in half and within a... More

As we were didn't want a huge dinner we decided that tapas would be a good thing to share between the 3 of us. And St. Elmo delivered. Even for a 9PM dinner on a Sunday night the place was packed which is confirmation of the food and the friendly service. While no single dish stood out, I would go... More

We really enjoyed our dinner at St Elmo, we thought the service was great (especially for Byron Bay where the service seems to be bad at most places). The bar and waiting staff were all on the ball and friendly, we didn't have to wait long for anything. The food was great too, they have a great selection of Spanish... More

Really an excellent semi formal restaurant with a great limited wine list and interesting tapas. Soft shell crab sliders and beetroot salad and corn were especially memorable. Amongst all the cheap and grungy prosaic food of Byron, this stands out like few others.

While visiting Byron for the week - we left kids at home for an evening and got out to St Elmo. Very nice atmosphere and the tapas style food was good - but maybe not authentic. Great wine list and good service. Soft shell crab sliders were great

Being locals we heard some nice things about St Elmo. You have to book as the place isnt that big. Upon arriving it was really cute and had a good vibe to it until we sat down and all i could hear was American, 1950's duke box hits coming from the speakers, which i thought was very odd for a... Make sure you book, or be disappointed. Make sure you confirm that booking or be even more disappointed!! We finally got in after trying a few times over the years. The food was pretty amazing. The best was caramelised pork belly with chorizo and pickled watermelon. OMG YUM! Everything we had was delicious.

Came by for a drink & were welcomed with excellent service and some lovely tapas (couldn't resist the menu even though we just finished dinner). Had the loveliest berry infused cocktail. We wanted to return to dine one night but found this on our last night. A little pricier than most establishments but foodies and those who enjoy their wine... More
