Best of Byron

I often stay at the appartments Inn next door and I have been meaning to try this place for a long time. I'm sorry that it took me so long because In my opinion this place is the best in Byron.

We booked here because we were told it was a popular haunt. Glad we did because we enjoyed it so much. The whole experience from start to finish made our night a hit. Different types of tapas innovatingly prepared and presented. Loved the fig salad, the pork belly tender and scrumptious and the scallops were sensational. Wine prices were up... More

Welcoming and informative waitstaff, good decor, quality food (especially the beef cheek) and drinks. It's one of those places where you want to have a nice hearty meal that isn't over the top priced and makes you feel full, while still being able to share your plate with friends and family.

Really good food, something a bit different, not like all the others. Good flavours and good wine, friendly staff. If you are in Byron for a few days, add this to your list - its a nice change from fish and chips!

Very hip and contemporary Spanish tapas bar, but not pretentious, nice and casual and relaxed. Great food - I had yummy ham croquettes and a salad of beetroot, radish, cabbage and grapes with fresh mint, and then an awesome almond and raspberry cake with ice cream. They also do a mean sangria. Highly recommend.

i have had tapas in a lot of places even Spain. St Elmo's obviously has its own version! Not my preferred style or to my particular liking. A little over priced as was the wine but adequate in terms of the meal - it could have had more flavour and smaller in portion size this way you could of had... More

This is a great little spot somewhat tucked away from the hustle and bustle and excess hormones of Byron Bay proper. The food was really good especially the Spanish jamon. We loved the pork belly too. Good selection of beers and friendly, albeit slow, service. The only downfall was the sangria which was decidedly average and nearly forgotten. After receiving... More

We loved this place. In the centre of Byron Bay close to our apartment. Two dinner services 6pm and 8.30. You've got 2 hours to enjoy this very cool bar/restaurant. Good tapas menu, well presented and tasty food, terrific service, fabulous cocktails and wine. If you're into tapas, give this place a go. Well worth a visit!

We love our tapas and hadn't been to Byron for awhile so were very excited to try St. Elmo's. My first impression was that this restaurant felt more like I was in Sydney, not Byron Bay- so pretentious. The whole vibe felt like if a strong wind came through that place it would fall apart. In the middle of taking... More
