I'm a fussy breakfast diner. The coffee, if drinkable at all, is rarely how you wanted it. You want your coffee with your food - it turns up 10 minutes before. The toast is either warm bread or burnt to a crisp. What a surprise this gem in Byron Bay is. I wanted avocado & tomato on toast - not on... More

We went to Mokha for diner and to listen to some local music. The atmosphere is great with mix of indoor and outdoor dining, nice lighting and live music, Luke Morris was playing and he was great, even brought his CD. The service was good and attentive throughout the evening. The only thing that spoiled our night was the food,... More

I'm a local in Byron and have been to Mokha on a few occasions as my friends love it here, but despite trying a few things on the menu now I've been repeatedly disappointed. The atmosphere is great, the service friendly (mostly) but the food really is under par for the prices being charged here. A "special" of dry snapper... More

In Byron Bay last weekend we decided to have dinner at Mokha after driving by and noticing what a great atmosphere there was oozing from within: tables full, nice lighting, a mix of outdoor & indoor seating and a guy singing & playing the guitar (Kyle Lionhart did a fabulous rendition of Hallelujah while we were there). The service is... More

We've had brekkie here a few times, and always been happy. It's a relaxed, casual atmosphere and the coffee's good. Yesterday we had a very long wait - I think they lost our order - and not much apology. Luckily we weren't in a hurry to be anywhere. But when the bill came they'd charged us half for my Eggs... We arrived at Byron and had a coffee here. Service was so good we decided to return for dinner. Once again service was excellent. Very busy cafe with people lining up to get in. Our meals were all excellent and there was live music which we really enjoyed. (There wasfree wifi there too.) 'Feels like' a cafe where the owner... More

Veal was good but hell they forgot the roast veges which were clearly on the specials menu board. Tried to make up for it with free garlic bread I don't think so

One of the 6 breakfasts we ate out whilst in Byron for Bluesfest. The coffee was good, the food was average - I had the truffled mushrooms on eggy bread. Mushrooms were goof, but bread was very dry. Saving grace was the friendly service from the wait staff. Not bad, just not good either.
