Am especially fond of the takeaway. Nice food, always get a a good meal - and the price is good. Sometimes the salt & pepper squid is just a little to much pepper then what is usual, but ah well. Bring plenty of water after!

Deliciously fresh and tasty. Get there a little early for lunch to avoid the rush hr. Fish and Tempura vegetables were fantastic, great salads of greens with crusty sweet potato curls yum!

This is one of the worst cases of bad customer service I have ever experienced. After ordering a half dozen oysters to my table, they proceeded to bring out a dozen. Confused, my table questioned the amount, and said we had ordered a half dozen. When the server walked away I assumed that I had payed the extra amount for... More

My colleague and I ordered the salmon and the flathead - both were cooked to absolute perfection and were totally delicious. It's on the more expensive side, but the quality is there - its casual gourmet at its best. It was too cold and dark for us, but it would be great to pick up fish and chips and head... More

Ordered takeaway for 6 people and was surprised when the bill was $100. They have made the decision to do their chips as unpeeled chunky potatoes mixed with shaved crispy sweet potatoes. None of us liked these at all, and would have preferred 'normal' chips. The fish and calamari were pretty good, the potato scallops and battered prawns were not.

If you plan to visit Byron Bay, make sure you head down the lane way behind the Pub on the main beach and you'll find Mongers Fish n Chips, my favorite place to eat every time I visit Byron. I've just come home from another week in Byron and 2 nights ago I had my favorite meal, BBQ Octopus with... More

Gourmet fish restaurant where you can have various types of fish done many ways. Freshest snapper we had with our of this world tempura vegetables which I wasn't too keen to order but was the best thing I did. Would highly recommend this restaurant and it is definitely a must visit if you're in the Bay.

From the first impression most would just walk past and not even take a 2nd look...we had the Snapper, Baby Octopus and Oysters that were freshly shucked only minutes before they hit your mouth...the best sidewalk fish and chips you will ever have, and very affordable, perfect all round, a must on your Byron dining list

We ordered take-away for lunch here, only because our preference, Fishheads was too busy. The food was ok but a bit bland, particularly for the price. I think the presentation is a bit pretentious and unnecessary especially for take-away. I'd rather scrap the flowers and having it brought out to me in an open box, and just have it practically... Very delicious food. A little pricey but cool layout and shop. I had the tiger prawns with flavoured rice and soy which was a special of the day and the prawns were so fired up that I could eat the entire head to tail! Loved it very much! Will come back not on a pub hol so we don't have... More
