I am confused about the mixed reviews, i am holidaying in Byron and have been two days in a row! On both occasions the coffee has been excellent, the salads world class and the service very friendly! Yes, it's a little pricier than other places, but compared to Sydney prices, it's fair and offers so much more! Highly recommend a... More

Had B/fast here several mornings last week & food & coffee sensational. Very busy with quirky locals & tourists welcomed equally by effecient staff. Felt right at home at what must be a very Byron eatery - fun , vibrant , loud & with lots of characters. Can highly recommend.

$17 for greens and 2 poached eggs. I ordered minus the eggs but they charge the same regardless of omissions. They did not include the broccoli in the dish that was listed on the menu, so at least they're consistent. $17 for kale leaves. And it needed seasoning.

This place is super cramped and not very comfy but the coffee was good and the sweet crumpet dish was to die for. A very Byron experience full of locals!

As a resort manager in Byron guests are always asking for suggested locations to eat or to simply relax over coffee. I haven't been to Bay Leaf for a while but I heard some nice things about it lately. As a result we invited some friends to join us for breakfast at Bayleaf and immediately talked it up. We all... Just walked past this place and thought it looked good. Had an awesome breakfast, well done to the team. Would recommend a visit whilst on Byron.

What a letdown. Coffee here is seriously so-so - AND the service was really lackluster; I wonder why - it was post lunch hour and the crowd was mostly gone. What staff appeared to be there (all four of them) seemed intent on cleaning up and leaving for the day. I forget to mention that they were intent on cleaning... More

Went back for the crumpets again. The vietnamese coffee was also a killer. Both of these are on the specials menu, so get 'em while you can. The other food there was also well on par with anything you'd expect in Melbourne's hotspots.

The focus here is coffee with the roastery next door. We stopped in several times during our short weekend stay - it's best to get in at around 7am to avoid the crowds. When super busy a separate counter serves takeaway coffees. Coffee was superb - the best long blacks I've had in a while. There chocolate for hot chocolates... More
