I grew up in Byron Bay and used to go to Bay Leaf all the time. recently my brother visited so we both went to have a quick coffee and something small to eat. We were sat next to each other on the large communal table on the aisle side which was fine but when the two person table directly... More

The guys tending the tables and kitchen guys were legends. The food was ok, banana bread pretty dry but the coffee was very, very good. Then came the girl in black top and short denim pants when paying the bill... Between four of us eating, we wanted simply to pay for what each of us had ordered. After all, neither... More

We ate here twice on our Byron trip. The first time I had the pulled pork bun. It was a fail. The pork had been fried on a pan to form a pattie and they burnt it - it was charred with black bits. The pickles were too overpowering. The overall mouth feel was sour and bitterness. The second time... More

I am confused about the mixed reviews, i am holidaying in Byron and have been two days in a row! On both occasions the coffee has been excellent, the salads world class and the service very friendly! Yes, it's a little pricier than other places, but compared to Sydney prices, it's fair and offers so much more! Highly recommend a... More

Had B/fast here several mornings last week & food & coffee sensational. Very busy with quirky locals & tourists welcomed equally by effecient staff. Felt right at home at what must be a very Byron eatery - fun , vibrant , loud & with lots of characters. Can highly recommend.

$17 for greens and 2 poached eggs. I ordered minus the eggs but they charge the same regardless of omissions. They did not include the broccoli in the dish that was listed on the menu, so at least they're consistent. $17 for kale leaves. And it needed seasoning.

This place is super cramped and not very comfy but the coffee was good and the sweet crumpet dish was to die for. A very Byron experience full of locals!

As a resort manager in Byron guests are always asking for suggested locations to eat or to simply relax over coffee. I haven't been to Bay Leaf for a while but I heard some nice things about it lately. As a result we invited some friends to join us for breakfast at Bayleaf and immediately talked it up. We all...
