Stopped here for lunch after reading recommendation in SMH Good Food Guide. Excellent food and friendly service. Perfect for lunch, or a welcome tea break.

The décor did not impress me nor did the level of service considering we were there outside of the busy period.

The simple but good food that comes out of the small kitchen which was retro fitted into a barn like space.

Coffee good, waitress had attitude when I asked for bacon "we don't do bacon". Other staff fine, but would not go back until some staff training in customer service.

Had a decent breakfast experience here with my wife on Easter Saturday. Great coffee and some unique breakfast choices on the menu. Found a cosy corner spot inside in the sun. The food was tasty but with a few concerns. They seem to have decided on using pancetta instead of bacon in all the dishes, which can be a bit... More

We regularly travel from Sydney to have breakfast in the Highlands. The Red Tree never disappoints with their creative and unique menu and delicious food. This morning's delights were both off the specials menu. Spinach tortilla with creamy scrambled eggs, cheese, chorizo, avocado, sour cream and tomato salsa; and corned beef hash with poached eggs abd rocket salad. Both dishes... More

As I said a year ago, a great breakfast for the same price as a buffet in the nearby hotels and motels. A beautiful building with lots of charm and character - and an interesting menu that offered so much more than the normal options of bacon and eggs.

Once again, when we could gather the the 'troops' out of the city, we headed down to the highlands before the coast for the long weekend. We decided to try somewhere new- The red tree cafe, a quaint litte blue cottage, attached to a vast main dining area and a large outdoor seating area. Although the wheather wasn't the best... More

We often visit Red Tree cafe and in no way do I feel the quality of the food or service has altered by the change of entrance to the cafe. The food accommodates all generations and is fresh, abundant and tasty. The wine is appropriately priced and selected. I thoroughly recommend eating here. Having eaten at most of the cafes... More
