My daughter, friend and I had lunch today at Savannah. The service was very quick the food hot, plentiful, and very flavoursome. I had the peri peri chicken burger, my friend the gourmet pie and my daughter the ribs. The atmosphere very pleasant and a wonderful time had by all

As the heading says, the place is nice, interesting food. We enjoyed our meals and had some nice cider. The only thing letting this place down is its location - at the end of a shopping mall so lacking natural light. That said, it might be perfect for a cosy escape from a rainy day.

It was an extremely busy time in Berry on Easter Sunday but we managed to find a table at Savannah's and don't regret it. The service was a little slow to start with but the food made up for that. The boerewors and potato salad and the peri-peri chicken burger was delicious. The flavours throughout was worth the wait. It's... More

I wouldn't rave about this place, but it was decent. Had their Sth African sausage with potatoe salad and a Sth African beer, both pretty damn good. What lets it down is the service. Whilst it wasn't terrible, they could improve by maybe explaining a bit about the menu, asking who everything was, or simply smiling.....not too much to ask... More

Just go here and order the Breakfast Bruschetta. It's not what I think Bruschetta is at all but that's highly irrelevant because it's a cracking brunch dish and lord knows I've had a few in my time! Picture this... a small lightly fried corn and maize-meal fritter, stacked with pan fried haloumi and tomato, topped with a perfectly poached egg... More

We ordered coffee (lovely) & a halloumi poached egg pesto hash brown. It was yummy but the halloumi was overcooked. The hash brown didn't appear to be made by them as I buy a similar brand myself. It was good though.

Thanks you for your feedback! We apologise for the overcooked halloumi an can certainly improve on that :) But what you thought were hash browns are actually crumbed maize meal fritters which is a white polenta from South Africa. These are made fresh daily by our talented chefs. Hope to see you again some time. The Team at Savannah More

The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was fine. The menu is very meat oriented but we expected that. Our mains tasted fine but they were small and we're not big eaters. The desserts, however, we're interesting and yummy. Not sure we'd return and there was only one other couple there for lunch. It's expensive for the amount of food... More

Took my dad out for dinner with my wife. At age 70 and born and bred in Berry, his culinary requirements are a bit old school but we all left well satisfied. The tasting plate with crumbed maize meal balls, peri-peri chicken wings and sliced grilled boerewors went down a treat. Dad and I had rouladen, comprising strips of gherkin,... More

We've lunched here several times and always enjoyed to food so decided to have dinner, a great choice, the food is South African so a little different, but not too much so. So good we came back for breakfast the next morning, so glad we did it was excellent.
