Cosy ambience and tasty well portioned food

We entered quite by chance on a short stopover at Berry on our drive home from the Kangaroo Valley. The Savannah Cafe and Bar is in a quiet arcade, but looked cosy and inviting. We ordered a mixed platter for two which had a mixture of yummy snacks all of which tasted delicious. The juice and... read more

My wife and I often travel to Berry from our home in Kiama to visit some of the wonderful shops there. One of our favourites is Festive Treasures in the arcade under the Stan Burt building. We have become quite friendly with the owners and when there recently we asked if they could recommend a good restaurant for lunch. We... More

Dinner, lunch or just good coffee with their own baked cakes....oh yum! We've tried it all. Don't be in a hurry as the food is cooked from scratch. Everything is so fresh and the taste is exceptional!

Have now been to this place twice and not only love the food & wine but the whole experience. The staff are just so friendly that when you walk out you think Wow what a great night. This time we had the shared plate and it was excellent all washed down with a very nice bottle of South African red... More

You cannot go past a better meal. You must book this resturaunt. This is now our third meal in a row here, we cannot leave! The flavours are unique, the salad crisp, the meat superb and the monkey gland sauce...oh, divine! This is not a heavy African experience, no flavour over powers another, there is no over load , no... More

Great menu - having been to South Africa on our honeymoon my wife and I were delighted to find this place when visiting Berry on our wedding anniversary. I had the boerie roll - South African sausage is a beautifully crispy bread roll with chakalaka sauce which seems to me like a vegetable chutney with a bit of a kick.... More

Driving through Berry, we stopped for lunch and checked trip advisor, found Savannah. Cool spot but very dissappointing service. Owner was seated at neighbouring table and blamed everything on the staff she was training!! Perhaps she should have actually offered a welcome or pitched in helping, thereby setting a better example. Coffee had to be reordered as forgotten first time.... More

Mmmm . . . well I'm sorry you believe you were treated poorly. Generally the owners or managers do not sit amongst customers when the cafe is busy. Next time you visit a cafe or restaurant please address your dissatisfaction with the manager directly at that time - that way orders/food/ coffee can be fixed straight away. Not really much... So you came to Berry for a weekend away and are looking at all the restaurants available and don't know which one to go to? Same as we were... And we stumbled across Savannah. From the moment we walked in the door we could tell we'd made a good decision. The service is excellent and they looked after us really... More
