Food was superb. It was essentially seafood but the menu gave the option of grilled or battered seafood. The salad was fresh and interesting and the chips were crisp. But best of all was the location which is right on the water. We sat out on the balcony and watched stingrays swimming beside us. On a fine day ensure you... More

We had lunch here while driving through Bermagui, and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food we were served. At first glance it doesn't look like much more than a take-away shop, especially when comparing to the restaurants on offer next door at the wharf, but do not judge this book by it's cover. We sat outside on the... More

Went there for a couples dinner. Not exactly a high-class dining atmosphere (with the staff smoking out the front), but the calamari and salt & pepper squid were amazing. The salad dressing seemed to have sugar in it, which ruined an otherwise lovely side-dish. As takeaway goes, it was great, just don't expect a fine-dining experience.

A group of us went for a weekend 'brunch' type meal. It was line up and pay at the counter type thing, meals came out at very different times, some still waiting to be served while others on our table half way done. Had to ask a couple of times for the last meal. When the food came it was... More

Takeaway fish and chips here recently was a bit disappointing. We had eaten dinner in the restaurant a few years back but the food wasn't quite as nice this time around. We had the gemfish (should have asked for flake) and l wasn't impressed, scallops and potato cakes were excellent, chips were overcooked. Being fish and chip experts (we are... More

Great location overlooking the harbour. Good food at reasonable prices and lots of choices of fresh fish from local waters. Fish is landed from boats docking alongside the restaurant. It is BYO and the corkage was reasonable. The overall experience was so good we went twice in the few days we were camping nearby.

We had dinner there on a Sat night. Had a table on the verandah fronting the harbour and the view was awesome. Service was good and efficient. When it got cold outside and we asked to move inside for our main course, it was knowingly and graciously accepted. The surf and turf was very nicely cooked. The seafood was done... More

Have travelled up and down the east coast and am sincerely surprised by the rave reviews about the fish and chips - nowhere near "the best" you can get. Disappointing. The chips are overlooked and tasteless.
