The first comment I would make is that the portions are of a good size and the prices are very reasonable. However, the food is very 'heavy' and 'stodgy'. I had calamari and as I said the portion was larger but the batter was not really batter but just a coating on the fish. I ordered 12 rings and actually... More

My wife, two daugters and I dined there last night on the recommendation of Graeme at the Harbourview Motel, and the meal was absoluetly beautiful, Fishcakes, garlic cream prawns and the Atlantic Salmon were thoroughly enjoyed by the family for what I believe was a reasonable price.

We both had sea food dishes. Big mistake, the fish was overcooked and like rubber and the mussels were not cooked. The garlic bread was good unfortunately this was the only edible food we had. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We both had sea food dishes which were really good, served by efficient staff, first time we had to bring our own drink, not a problem.

Saltwater serves the best fish and chips. The flathead is beautiful. I highly recommend dining in and sharing one of the huge grilled seafood platters - I am still dreaming about it. The view isn't bad either. It's BYO.

My family and i went to the cafe for a sit down meal but felt uncomfortable right from the start in the end we opted for takeaway. Then we were confronted with a rude abrupt lady taking our order. We ordered burgers which were terrible and flavourless. Went to Bermagui especially for a nice lunch on our way home. I... More

This place use to be amazing. A definite detour whenever we were down the coast, we will still detour however not for this. It was terrible. Lifeless half cooked chips - no crunch at all more like a soggy sad imitation. The calamari was chewy and the flat head fillet so small it appeared to be half a tail. The... More

What better location than right on the waterfront at Bermagui Wharf to enjoy a fresh seafood lunch. The staff were very helpful when choosing from the menu and the food was delicious and nicely presented. We enjoyed grilled fish of the day with chips and salad. We enjoyed our lunch immensely and then proceeded to purchase from the take-away section... More

What a surprise this restaurant proved to be. Firstly it is BYO & the staff couldn't have been any more helpful. actually taking the time to sit down with us and assist in choosing a dinner to remember. From the scallops for entree to the Seafood platter for 2 the food was to die for. Highly recommend the Saltwater when... More
