They are in my opinion the best on the planet! The scones are a close second but get there early, they go fast. The atmosphere lends itself to the enjoyment of the food. Fun to sit outside (dogs allowed) and gaze at the mountains with your "goodies". The fresh baked pies are one of the "stars" which we look forward... More

We were camping at the RV Resort and were overwhelmed by the fantastic scents coming from the Cafe & Market- we bought a couple of ginormous peanut butter cookies for dessert and were completely wowed by the fantastic flavor...plus, eating a giant cookie by the fire at night in the mountains is always better :)

On our journey from Mammoth Lakes back home to Sonoma County we stopped into this little mountain oasis to grab a coffee and stretch our legs. Wow! Fresh baked pies, an espresso machine and a cool vibe. We downed a much needed espresso and cappuccino and nibbled on some Russian Wedding Cookies just like my Polish babica used to make.... More

There are very few places around, we stop for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Small menu with nice breakfast and lunch options. Good espresso coffee and very good pies. The kids insisted the place is worth the highest rating, I think this is due to the pancakes and service..

Many different pies are available every day. They also make them for delivery to local restaurants. We had espresso drinks. They also serve other food.

We stopped here for lunch. Located on the eastern side of Carson Pass on Highway 88. Efficient, friendly service, tasty sandwiches. The minestrone soup was a disappointment. Great homemade pies. I had strawberry rhubarb with ice cream. First wi-fi I had found in a couple of days.

The best advice is skip a meal and have dessert! They are to die for and a great value! Homemade cakes, cookies and lots of pie. All choices were fresh and excellent! Menu is typical for a small upcountry restaurant, a bit limited, a bit pricey, and not much in the way of heart healthy choices. Sorry, but I think... More

Delicous food, coffee, pastries! Very helpful and riendly service, indoor or outdoor seating in beautiful seating. We ate outside so our dog could be with us. Our dog was very welcome.

I've gone to Hope Valley Cafe several times, and I have always left with a big smile on my face. I've enjoyed breakfast, and lunch meals there, however, my favorite is any pie, muffin, cookie, or whatever that has just come out of the oven. My second favorite is ANY pie, muffin, cookie that is available. Leeza, the owner, has... More

The coffee can do better if you're having it black. We stopped for a quick pick-me-up on our way back home--the apple-pear pie was delicious!!! It was good warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and it was good cold, straight from the fridge the next day! The apricot-cranberry pie was good also, although a bit too much of... More
