We come here often and have never had a bad meal, the prices are right the portions are great and the service is always friendly. My dad comes in with crutches and they are always so helpful, and we come as a big family sometimes and always get served all together with hot meals. Even with a new manager its... More

We had a fantastic steak meal, which was perfectly cooked to our liking. The atmosphere in the pub is relaxed and friendly. Lovely landlord and landlady, very friendly and welcoming. We didn't have our young children with us on this occasion but this is a pub we would feel very happy to bring young children to for a family meal.

Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to eat in St Austell! We came across this pub/restaurant when looking for somwhere to eat on our way back to our accommodation in Helston. Bar staff were very friendly and went out of their way to confirm the wait on food. Food came put promptly and steak was... More

Being local we can walk to the Holmbush, which we did tonight, we both had the "Buster" burger which was huge, and at £9 a bargain, my wife took half home for the dogs, child's sausage, egg and chips was enough for an adult, sadly frozen chips, but which pub doesn't use them, overall a good menu, although a pate... We visited this pub when staying locally to visit the Eden Project. They serve normal food at decent prices with deals (e.g. 2 big plates (steak, gammon etc) for £19) and a reasonable children's menu (with colouring, word searches, mazes and freshly sharpened pencils). Friendly, welcoming staff and a clean environment.

We recently ate at the Holmbush for Mothers Day, it was very busy but this did not affect the food or service in any way. We had a roast, it was tasty, hot and great value for money. Our 14 month old son was given crayons and a colouring sheet to do which kept him occupied and happy. The staff... More

When we arrived at the Holmbush Inn around 7.30pm it was no surprise to us that the car park was absolutely full, no room anywhere so we had to park elswhere. No problem at all. After a short stroll we in where our table was booked and waiting for us. There was a lovely atmosphere in the pub where all... More
