We nipped in here for a drink and a meal. It's very much what you'd expect from a chain pub, pretty standard menu and decent prices. The service wasn't particularly friendly but was efficient. The food was good and made fresh (I assume, from the time taken to prepare). Good number of tables out the front in the sunshine, just... More

Called in for a cheap and cheerful plate of grub and a couple of pots of beer with friends after a game of golf. We were served (drum roll) 4 decent plates of grub and some excellent St Austell Brewery Tribute beer. Plates of Belly Pork, Ham with Egg and Chips and a small size Rump Steak were all sent... More

Typical pub restaurant. Lots of new, untrained staff and service . Go to feed not to enjoy a special mealmaintained by one excellent waitress when we were there. Portions rigidly controlled and somewhat frugal. Seems like lots of pre-cooked, kept warm staples which are dried up. Quite a popular place so need to book. Very noisy

We stopped at this pub as we were starving! while on holiday and needed a quick meal! It was very busy when we went inside.... so we thought we would be in for a wait. We ordered our meal and within 10 minutes it was set in front of us piping hot and tasted divine! Proper decent pub grub ....... More

We find the Holmbush Inn a reliable place to eat as a family. Food is well presented and is good value for money. The menu is standard fare for a pub, but, that is what you would expect and why we regularly return over other places around St Austell. Staff our friendly and engaging. Well done don't change!!!
