Biggest scone with a cream tea!

We had popped in to Charlestown to see the tall ships and scenery from Poldark. We missed the fact that roadside parking is free until June -worth knowing as the car park is expensive! We visited Wreckers for afternoon tea, and I had the biggest scone of any of the teas I had in Cornwall or... read more

Visited the restaurant, good value with locally sourced fish and vegetables, good meal. We didn't book and we were offered a small table near the door even though other tables were available, we did ask to be moved and we were.

An old boat house, comfortable, unpretentious with friendly, unobtrusive service. The food was excellent, gnocchi with lobster and prawn, mixed grill fish, great choice of desserts. Worth a trip to Charleston just for the meal

Loved the building - apparently had a history connected with boat building. The menu here had many different fish choices and excellent quality.

We had a meal here on the Sunday evening of the early May Bank Holiday weekend, while staying at the Carlyon Bay Caravan & Camping Site. We booked a table for 6.00pm and glad that we did as they were quite busy even that time. Our meal was lovely and we'd definitely visit again when we can. The staff were... More

My wife and I have been eating here for over four years - after this (my birthday)occasion we are very disappointed to declare that we are unlikely to return. Apart from one waiter the staff paid us little attention. Food (mains in particular) were overly contaminated with sea salt particles which made the texture crunchy this was relayed back via... Thank you for your review about you recent meal with us at Wreckers. I am sorry to hear your experience was not as you expected and found the value, the service and the food worth only two stars. Squeezed in between four and five star reviews, I struggle to believe your experience was that bad. After delivering your main meals... More

Ate here on an April Monday evening when it was surprisingly popular. A relaxing place to eat with good service.

Dashing in to avoid the cold and sharp winds for lunch, we were met with a warm and friendly welcome. The food was excellent as was the professional and prompt service. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for quality food at a reasonable price in pleasant surroundings.
