Couldn't fault the food or the beer, excellent Betty Stoggs and Doom Bar. The pub has an excellent atmosphere. A small criticism is that our table was situated in a little room by a door to a tunnel, which apparently runs under the road and was used in the past for possible smuggling and it was a little chilly to... We have just returned from a very tasty Sunday lunch at The Miners Arms. We were recommended to pay a visit and certainly weren't disappointed. A choice of four meats for the roast and a great selection of vegetables. The delicious creamed leeks were served separately along with three sauces and some great hot gravy. I nearly always have to... More

Excellent meal and service. We ended up in what must be the family room but the other dining room looked much nicer with a big roaring fire. Very good value.

Booked in and ate a fabulous roast dinner here with friends one Sunday afternoon and we were not disappointed! Good choice of beers and roast dinners including beef, ham, lamb and pork, served with roasties, Yorkies and a selection of seasonal vegetables with lashings of gravy, all cooked to perfection and served by really helpful and friendly staff in a... We have eaten at Miners Arms on many occasions and have never had a bad experience there! The staff are always friendly and polite and the food is always great! The only thing I would say is there are not many vegetarian options, as there was only two when we last visited. So unless you like mushrooms or nuts (which... More

Had a great Sunday evening meal while on holiday in the area for the weekend. Lovely old pub, warm & cosy. Service was friendly & pleasant and the roast beef first class. Highly recommended

A group of 5, we went to the Miners on Saturday 8th November. Although we had booked earlier in the week, we were put into the top restaurant, there was already another table of 4 in there all sat with their coats on! We complained that it was cold in there, the waitress said she would turn the heating on!!!!... More

My wife and I and our two dogs visited the Minors Arms on Sunday afternoon. With the dogs (who'd just been in the sea at Chapel Porth) we sat outside in the beer garden. Even though it was Sunday lunchtime and the restaurant was at capacity the attitude of the staff was of very high standard and we felt very... More
