Delicious meal

I never expect much from restaurant/pubs in quaint Cornish villages. Especially if the menu has "exotic" items on it. Normally more happy with pasties or fish and chips! However, this has changed my perception. The Crabmeat Linguine was exquisite and had a palate tickling sauce with some... read more

Made a booking via email, which was confirmed, but when we arrived, no table... a table was found but we did have to wait 45 minutes. Others were turned away as it was full, so booking advised. Food was OK, burger was good, rack of ribs came with a rather disappointing out of a jar BBQ sauce. Beer good.

Surprisingly for a small place, St Agnes has sooo many eating places! We went to the Taphouse for a family birthday, there were 9 of us and we reserved a table (recommended as it gets very busy). This is a small restaurant also selling an array of cocktails. I ordered the lychee mojito and was disappointed when my mojito turned... More

Place soon filled up....good atmosphere..but I can see it becoming noisy for the oldies...Locals are obviously liking this venue... Easy walk up from the Driftwood Spars where I was staying..well worth the effort.. Wines and Beers are varied... Worth... More

After a shocking experience at The Driftwood Spars we were pleasantly surprised by this excellent establishment. The service was friendly and efficient even though they were busy. The nachos were to die for and the mains were all superb. We could not fault the experience. Would definitely return.

We ate here with friends on a Summer's evening. When we arrived and ordered the service was excellent. The portion sizes and the quality of the food were excellent. However, the wine was not so great. Our first bottle of wine was warm - it was just put in a ice bucket. We politely complained (after all warm white wine... More

Was visiting family down here and wanted somewhere to go to celebrate my fiancé birthday. We had originally booked the table but there was a misunderstanding what soon got resolved with minimal fuss, we got moved to a smaller table then what we liked and as a result we was offered a round of ciders (we were a party of... We can here to celebrate my mothers 60th. We're able to support a large prebooking. Starters and mains were amazing, sea food incredible. Service was really good, I would recommend to any one. A must to visit if your in the area.

Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. The Surf and turf is a real treat and there is a very good selection of wines and spirits.
