This is a restaurant as good as any in Cornwall Rick Steins, Paul Ainsworth, Jamie Oliver.... The food was beautifully presented and balanced and the service was very friendly and attentive. The cider cured fillet of sea trout with smoked trout salad, apple and rocket was served with tiny nasturtiums - great care had been taken with the imaginative presentation.... More

Having read the trip advisor reviews we emailed for a reservation and where delighted to get a booking for the Sunday evening of our holiday . From the freshly baked flavoured breads to the imaginative petit fours it was a delight for eye , taste and soul . We took our two teenagers along and they loved it too .... More

Fantastic food, really like a Michelin star without the price tag. No kerb appeal from outside but decor nice inside, linen tablecloths and excellent service but the star of the show was the food. Very reasonable for the quality.

The outside appearance is not outstanding but the atmosphere from the moment our party of 4 sat down was outstanding. A nice Champaign served with artistically designed appetisers is a good way to start a memorable dinner this was served outside. The dinning room is small , the food imaginative and beautifully cooked. The service was excellent.

Visited when on an overnight camping/ surfing break in Polzeth and really pleased we did. The restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere with good attention to detail. The food, presentation and service were outstanding. The restaurant even makes its own butter and bread. There was a nice choice of wine. We chose a desert wine called 'The Nobel One' which... More

I have eaten at this restaurant in all its previous incarnations - Alwyns Pavilion, Nathan Outlaw's Black Pig, L'Estuaire, etc - all were good, but The Dining Room is definitely the best yet. Although tiny, the atmosphere is great, the service friendly and efficient, and the food outstanding at every course, including all the little appetisers. The wine list is... More

We booked The Dining Room based on the trip adviser reviews and we weren't disappointed. However, I'm afraid we must disagree with a previous review which compared it to Paul Ainsworth's No. 6, as we had also been there the previous evening. The Dining Room serves excellent, not exceptional food which we feel is what Paul Ainsworth's No. 6 serves.... More

During a week's family holiday in Rock we decided to have a quiet dinner for two to get away from the kids and grandkids. Having considered all the restaurants owned by Rick Stein across the water in Padstow (reachable by ferry until midnight), we decided to stay in Rock. That gave the choice of Nathan Outlaw at the St Enedoc... More

I'll go as far to say that if you are looking at the views on trip advisor wondering weather to go or not. If you don't like it I'll personally pay for your meals. It's that good

What a place , attention to detail was second to none. In between courses you were treated to other food delights a nice touch. The price was very good compared to st moritz hotel where the food and choice wasn't good, but is a a la carte restaurant and with a good name. When you are in rock make sure... More
