My wife and I were touring the Roseland peninsula and we stumbled across this place when visiting the pretty little fishing port of Mevagissey. Although it was lunchtime we eschewed the chance to sample the food although very good it looked and smelled, preferring just to take a small cider and small HSD ale from St Austell Brewery. This brewer... More

Went there in the begining of january as staying at a local caravan park. Nice warm fire and the staff really friendly. Ordered food which was really good and has a good selection of local ales. Look forward to go back soon.

The fire was burning and the locals and their dogs were friendly. A lovely meal, beautifully presented topped it off.

I recently visited this pub with my family and I ordered the fish and chips. The best way I can describe it is that in August I visited Padstow and tried Rick Stein's fish and chips (to see what all the hype was about) and unlike Rick Stein's, the Fountain Inn meal was incredible - food and price. It was... More

We spent a week in Mevagissey and frequented this pub a few times. We ate in it twice and both times the food was fantastic. The pub is very oldy worldy with a lovely roaring fire and a temperamental resident cat. Much to the delight of my dog! The staff are very friendly and very helpful. It's quite a cosy... More

The oldest pub in Mevagissey. In November when most of the tourists have gone, it turns into a cosy, local pub. Very friendly, lovely fire, good food and service, dogs allowed.

Great little pub with open fire and lovely warm welcome from the staff. We ate upstairs in their intimate restaurant which was full, fab meal and what lovely staff. We will be back and well recommend a visit may be worth booking as very popular.

Realy cozy place, again a warm welcome, the food was excellent, was a bit dubious when we were handed laminated a4 menu, but wow what we were served was fabulous. My partner an I both had the scampi and cod goujons. Huge portions with thick fillets of lightly battered cod, loads of scampi, chips were delicious. Came out feeling stuffed!!!... More
