Bustling and lively pub with good food

Small, friendly, very busy local pub with a good choice of food and beer. Service was prompt and my scallops were beautifully cooked., just the thing after a long day's walk. A place of character!

Stayed in Mevagissey for a week and after being told by parents who had eaten there most nights on their stay last year. We ate there three times and had a great meal everytime. The food was all fresh, large portions and great value for money. The staff were all friendly and service was very good. We ate in the... More

We have visited this pub on several occasions but this was the first time we had eaten there. It is a beautiful, unspoilt, traditional inn with a small but well chosen selection of ales and ciders. Having seen the delicious looking fish and chips being eaten by other customers we ordered the same and were not disappointed. The beer battered... More

You just knew that it was going to be good, when the cat walked in looking like he owned the place and with an air of confidence. He was no where near the food and was soon ushered out. We met the landlord the day before and he was welcoming and booked us in for our meal. I had The... More

Great food here, I had the plaice special, my wife had the pork and my kids shared a gammon. All great food. Letdown by bar prices though, double gin and tonic house gin, pint of real ale and two fruit Shoots, £13, that is crazy?????

Gets a bit crowded, but the food is good - honest and down-to-earth, good fresh fish. Ate there twice.

Great pub, lovely food and a must visit if you're in the area whether it's just for a drink in the bar (fantastic open fire) or a meal in the restaurant. Staff all very friendly and already made three visits in three days!

Four of us, plus dog, enjoyed a lovely lunch on a dull damp day. We all agreed the fish and chips were amazing!!! Definitely recommend the food and dog friendly, too.

Lovely quaint old fashioned pub where you are made to feel very welcome. Food is of excellent quality and good value for money. portion sizes are good. Bar was full which is always a good sign.
