visited with family whilst on a long wk end break.Lovely coal fire, friendly atmosphere, very cosy , good food, traditional pub, how i wished all pubs would be like this one. Landlord a real character, with plenty of tales to tell.

Excellent fish and chips. Well stocked bar. The landlord is so friendly and welcoming. There was a roaring fire and nightlights on the tables in the bar which provided a very cosy environment. Shall be visiting this one again and again.

We'll run, good food, welcome atmosphere. Only downside there is no parking on site, but plenty within a few hundred yards. The landlord sat and talked with us, made us feel really welcome. We are already looking forward to the next time we visit.

We love the Fountain inn, it’s the perfect pub and we always look forward to going when visiting this part of Cornwall. Lovely unspoilt interior, great service, top local ales, NO LOUD MUSIC or huge TV and it’s dog friendly……….just fantastic…………..oh and the food is great too!

Thin crispy batter, the flavour of the cod still coming through and not killed by greasiness; even the last bite of the quite large portion was still crunchy. Mouthwatering plate of food.

four of us had lunch in February and the open fire was not the only warm welcome we received. The fish and chips is excellent (as is the ham, egg and chips) and the staff made us and our Labrador feel very welcome. Will definitely go back again!

The small restaurant is costly set upstairs in the lovely old pub building. We originally booked to try the traditional fish and Chips with local beer batter, but soon realised there was a fine range of other meals available, for example steaks, locally sourced mussels, etc. A further excellent selection of desserts followed. All was cooked fresh, yet efficiently, to... More
