Tried to get in here a few times during our 2 weeks on holiday and it was always busy so we knew it would be good. Great menu, good food, a little pricey although the view is spectacular from the restaurant so perhaps you pay a little more for that. However, we wouldn't go back because you have to go... More

We popped in for coffee and cake whilst visiting Mevagissey. It looks out on to the waterfront through a large open window, and the decor is a very trendy with rustic wooden floors, blue painted tables, and tin can cutlery holders. Although I don't eat fish, I'm sure this would be a great place for a meal.

We arrived on the first night of our family holiday to discover that the restaurant had new owners since our previous trip. Having experienced such good food and service back in 2012, we didn't really know what to expect. Early signs were good as the staff found us a table even though we didn't have a reservation. Our hosts made... More

Situated on the quayside in Mevagissey this is a very popular restaurant. Advisable to book in advance.

We stayed in the old Sharksfin for our 10th Wedding Anniversary, and so had to return this year for our 30th... what a difference! An impressive opening up of the entire interior has made a slick large family restaurant on the harbour. For old times sake we had fish and chips and a bottle of Chablis. A mistake as the... More

We ate here twice during our visit to Mevagissey. We booked for dinner both times and were given the same table by a window looking out over the harbour which was lovely as night fell. The food was good with an American twist on a typical English seaside menu. The service was relatively quick, even when it was quite busy... More

We visited this restaurant on a busy night and the staff were very efficient. The food was freshly cooked and we were impressed with the fishcakes. I would recommend booking a table in the busy holiday season. Nice ambience and atmosphere

We visited Sharkskin on a tour of the south west this August 2014. It was lunch time and very busy with lots of tourists but we were made to feel very welcome and had some great seafood dishes. Even better we had window seats looking out over a wonderful view of the harbor.

I have been to the. Sharksfin before- in October 2013 when the new owners Mel and John had just taken over. It was good then but the food has just got better as has the service. In the past the Barley sheaf in Gorran was a fav but The Sharksfin offer has snuck ahead. The food was fab and the... More
