Give this one a miss!

After walking round a very wet Mevagissey we decided to have lunch here-a big mistake! We waited for a long time for the order to be taken and then a very long time for the food to appear. My husband had grilled mackerel, which to be fair was ok. He asked for new potatoes instead of the chips that... read more

Went for lunch and wish we hadn't I had 2 hairs in my soup and although they took the cost off the bill they couldn't muster an apology, my husband had a cream tea, the scones had been heated in the microwave which left them soft and unappealing, the jam portion was in little plastic packet not what we expected... Excellently home cooked food in a relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful variety of main courses to choose from. Reasonably priced and worth waiting for. Friendly and efficient service. A little cramped but great for literally rubbing shoulders and getting into conversation with other visitors. We returned here on two consecutive evenings and would definitely recommend this restaurant. Because of its limited capacity,... More

What a great little place this is , only has five tables and we were lucky enough to walk in early evening and get a table. The others were all reserved. Food was very good , we had a lovely soup to start and then enjoyed a very good main. Nice quiet atmosphere and the 2 ladies running it are... More

Tiny bistro with only about 7 tables, however we were lucky enough to get in for 5 without a reservation. Good sized portions and a good selection of fresh foods, particularly fresh.

Stayed in Mevagissey for 5 nights and ate here for the last 3. Would recommend booking a table as very popular. The food is just wonderful and home cooked. I can highly recommend the local cod in beer batter, the beef bourguignon and the sirloin steak. The starters are quite large and the mains even larger so unfortunately didn't have... More

We were looking for somewhere to have some lunch and after having found numerous café’s full to the brim eventually stumbled upon this place. It looked nice enough from the outside and there was another family inside, so we assumed it must have been ok. Without sounding nasty, I think we were wrong. We felt as though we were putting... Had just arrived and set up our tent and ventured down to Mevagis for food. This was the only place still serving food (at 21:15), there was a sign outside saying "Food served 5pm - 10pm" so gladly we went in. We were greeted by the most hostile welcome I wish to ever experience. There was only 5 tables and... More

Only about 6 tables, so very personal attention. Fantastic fish chowder for starter. Anne in kitchen kept peering through to see we were enjoying our food. I followed on with a Lobbs Farm rabbit pie, yummy bunny. Menu obviously changes daily so I don`t think you`d get bored if you called in two nights running. Informal and much better than... More
