Great atmosphere with a great selection on the menu. Very good wine list. You need to book with good reason.

This is now my fourth visit to salamander mevagissey and again cannot fault the food, wine, service or setting. Absolutely fantastic as always. We always look forward to eating here. If only it wasn't 260 miles from home. We all had the steak, cooked to perfection. 10/10 again. See you again next time This is the best place to eat... More

Went to Salamander for a great New Years Eve meal, the set menu was varied with plenty of meat and fish options and also had some great desserts . Food was very well cooked and the service levels were also very good and friendly. Will visit again the next time we are in the area for sure.

first time we have eaten out on Christmas Day but couldn't have chosen a better restaurant. Service was very friendly without being overbearing and the food was fantastic. We will certainly be visiting again.

My husband and I ate here during a 3 night break in Mevagissey. It was actually recommended to us by the b&b owners where we were staying. Thank goodness we booked a table as while we were there several people were turned away as they had not booked. The food, wine and service were amazing and I would certainly recommend... More

A quiet Friday evening. Great food - fresh scallops and fish, really lovely steak and fresh puddings decorated with home made wafers in the shape of salamanders. So cute. Do visit this restaurant if you are nearby, but in tourist season book ahead.

Nine of us came here during a walking weekend. We were impressed by the professional but friendly service from the owner and her staff, the choice and quality of the food, (whether fish or meat) the great ambiance and excellent value for money. A first rate restaurant, and recommended!

We are regulars in Meva and have come to terms with this being easily the best restaurant. Locally sourced meats, and excellent fresh fish. The Redhead swears by their treatment of Cornish sole/ megrim and despite my diet, I am always impressed by the chocolate puddings. Relaxed but efficient, nothing seems too much trouble. Delightful.

Checked out trip adviser and went with it. The Salamander offers excellent food and great service. Scollops were fantastic and the local lamb was superb. Look forward to returning.
