Ideal location,

We had a lunch time meal here, there was a good menu choice but some items were not available, maybe due to it not being peak season, the food was nice, it's ok price wise, it's in a great location right on the harbour and fine for a lunch time snack! I amazing it is popular in peak season... read more

We had an excellent lunch here. Pasty and sandwiches. Pasties were tasty and sandwich fresh. They also gave us a free cream tea for my mums birthday. Excellent customer service.

It has one of the best places in the harbour but that is not all. Wonderful staff and great fun and the best fish pie ever said Sue (even better than mine - sob and weep) and a fine medley of sea food. Just a great and friendly place

The Wheelhouse is always our chosen spot for lunch in Mevagissey so on an unexpectedly warm November day, we went inside and took a seat at one of the tables in the windows. Service was polite and efficient and within a few minutes, we had ordered. Our two pots of tea arrived quickly, and within a further five minutes, our... More

We had two fish meals in the area. The first was a poor meal in Rick Steins fish and chips in nearby Padstow. The second was here. We stumbled upon this restaurant and saw fish pie advertised on the blackboard outside. The first restaurant is owned by a celebrity chef, but it was this restaurant that had us star struck.... How difficult is it to cook a sausage properly ? These anaemic mangers looked they'd just been shown to the frying pan. I asked for them to be cooked more and they were returned 5 mins later exactly the same, practically raw. As for my request that my fried eggs be cooked until set, well even the white was runny... Getting into the tiny harbour Village of Mevagissey along narrow streets can be quite nerve-wracking - but persevere & be rewarded by some excellent shops & restaurants! We enjoyed a great meal of fish & chips & excellent service with some killer cakes to follow.

We were walking the coastal path and found this venue as it was the first one we reached on the quayside. From the outside, it looks inviting so in we went to order. The staff were very friendly and we both ordered baked potatoes. When they came, we thought the potatoes had seen better days; they were definitely not the... More
