We took our whole family here for a meal over the August Bank Holiday weekend. We booked as had heard it was busy and I'm glad we did as it's really popular. Great atmosphere, really friendly and attentive staff who make you feel welcome without being over the top. Food was amazing. Excellent value and large portions. Good variety of... More

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast. Best roast potatoes ever. With over 60 years of experiencing some of the most famous restaurants in the country including The Ritz,Claridges and the Savoy this was by far the best service. The waitress attended to every detail and nuance of her customers with a perfect genuine smile. The age range she served was... More

The weather turned on the way to the beach so we went looking for somewhere for lunch. This was a really pleasant find. Its was really child friendly with a good menu and good quality of food accompanied by friendly service. Recommended.

We were on holiday in the area in July and before going I had looked on Trip Advisor for good places to eat. The Travellers Rest was close by and we eat there early on in the week. This is a very nice pub. There is plenty of car parking, although take care crossing the road. The staff were very... More

Ate here twice on our recent holiday. Superb food and excellent service. Sorted us a table very quickly when another local pub let us down for a table. Thoroughly recommend.

Have had a lot of pub grub in my day. The meal we all had at the Travellers was well above average. Staff very friendly, attentive, and on the ball. Good play list just the right volunm. plus a level pool table with tips on the cues, always a bonus. I would recommend

Visited twice while staying for 4 nights nearby very enjoyable food but you must not be in a hurry though they do warm you that there will be a 45 minute plus delay from taking your order Staff very friendly and prices reasonable Advisable to book at weekends as it gets very busy

In the middle of August in a Cornish village you might expect a pub to be busy and the Traveller's Rest certainly was, and for good reason. The beer was good, so was the food, the staff were welcoming and friendly. They knew the kitchen would be pushed to keep up with the number of customers and the menu made... More

We visited whilst on holiday and had a lovely meal, the food and drinks were reasonably priced and lots of choice available. The only issue was the pub itself was so hot it was difficult to enjoy the meal, on opening the back door we were asked to close it again by other patrons so we had to keep going... More

Really pleased with this pub. We are from Staffordshire on holiday in newquay, we were actuary looking for another pub that was closed, turned the corner and found this. Great food and a good selection of cask ale. Good pub grub. If you are in newquay and want a traditional pub meal. Visit this place.
