Excellent meal and service.

Excellent food, excellent service. Friendly welcome and a lovely log fire. Would highly reccomend. One of the best meals I've ever had. Just wish we lived a bit nearer.

Read about the carvery and booked, having been midweek previously, and been very impressed. Went for the carvery at £10, and tried a bit of every meat on offer. More than enough to accompany the veg, and as much crackling and roasted potatoes as you could mound on a large plate. Really very tasty and delivered by friendly and efficient... More

£10 carvery?? I have to question this to me a carvery is the meat is carved and you help yourself to veg and at £10 you should not leave the establishment hungry. We arrived just before 1pm for a booked table greeted by very friendly staff at the bar. The queue for the carvery was small we were both hungry... More

Yorkshires, stuffing and crackling on the side to help your self to as well. Big plates! And if you still have room they have great desserts too! Have also come in recently at lunch time... More

Stopped in at The Travellers Rest both evenings whilst staying in Mawgan Porth for the weekend. We walked from the village centre - mostly uphill and pitch black, please take a torch - and initially just the sight of it was enough for a five star rating! The staff were great, good service and able to order food within the... More

This pub is much larger inside than it looks from the outside but it offers a warm welcome, very friendly staff and a varied menu. A wet and windy Tuesday lunchtime in November can be a bit hit and miss for a decent pub lunch, but not at The Travellers Rest. We easily found a seat by the fire and... More
