This pub/restaurant had a refurb a couple of years ago, then 6 months ago, it closed. I did report this to trip Advisor, but perhaps they don't believe me.

I would rush to eat here alright food but could do better. Would take young kinds because of the casino machines and the alcoholics. The diner was closed so i had to eat with drunks around me alright but wouldn't come agian. The food was a bit tasteless but if you like classic English food you might like it more... More

We tried this place last year when we were last in Cornwall so decided to go back this year. Again the staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was good as usual and we sat in a nice sunny restaurant room. I will go again when we are back down there. The building looks a little run down from the... More

Went in to check the restaurant and have a look at the menu and was only met with an empty room with no staff interested in serving a potential customer. Very disappointing to say the least. As for the food. I have no idea. Didnt get that far but hopefully better than their service.

Im truly unsure as to why this place has such poor reviews! The food was delightful, the carvery massive and tender and the setting perfect. Very modern inside :) Would recommend

We ate there today. Our meals were awful. Build a burger...not very nice and over priced. Not worth the money.

The pub was really nice and friendly, their was a games machine and pool table. We ate in the pub and the women behind the bar was really friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, 1st class service. Prices of food and drink where brilliant. Food was delicious and would 100% recommend.

The food and wine here were fine but nothing special. The waitress left us hanging around for 20 mins waiting to pay or order desserts. We paid at the bar in the end. Nice setting though.

We stopped a few times in The Royal Talbot as it was near our cottage, but it really is only average. The main problem i think is that its just too big so it always looks empty. Also we had food one night and it wasn't great. I ordered a chicken ceasar salad, which came without cheese or crutons and... More
