Good food and service

The food here is good. There is outside seating with great sea views. The only think I find a bit strange is that they call it sunset surf but they close at 5:00pm (in late May) which is a shame because it would give you a fantastic view of the sun setting over Gwithian Towans.

The hot food we ate was outstanding. Very high quality and delicious. We thought it might be a little prices at £10 for a burger but that came with fries and coleslaw. Well worth the money. The staff were very very friendly too. Oh and the view from the terrace is amazing!

A great place to visit after a day on the beach, cold beer or hot chocolate. The food here is great from fresh fish to burgers. I had the Chili Nacos 'wow' they were great and the pulled pork on a bed of chips with cheese and bourbon sauce was 'yummy'. We also called in on one of the nights... More

A chance find but one I'm glad that we made. Beautiful cream tea at a very reasonable price. Lovely service. Good place to rest the legs after a long struggle through the dunes. Will make this a place to go to when next in the area.

After watching the Sunset Surf's webam for weeks, we finally made it down to Gwithian Towans to visit the place for ourselves. WOW! What amazing views of the beach, Hayle, Godrevy and St Ives. We only had drinks on this occasion, but will definitely be back again for food next time. Great place just to chill out.

Used to be a laid back surfie hang out serving decent food including dinner. Went back there for first time in 4 years to find it has been redeveloped, destroying it's character. First issue - no cream teas! Its Cornwall for crying out loud. Second issue - they close at 4pm. What!?!? So no dinner either. No reason to go... More

We have been holiday visitors to this premises for a number of years and with regard to the storm damage we feel REALLY sorry for the owners, but despite the Local Authority planning objections the owners have carried out a great refurbishment. HOWEVER guys, having visited you several times in June and September this year, please remember the building and... More

Food here is always good but feel that since the makeover quality has slipped. We had coffees, hot chocolate and cakes recently, quite pricey and cups were half full and coffee Luke warm. Shame as really lovely location and the family owners are lovely. We also came here in July and found it to be the same?
