Used to be great but has sadly been "upgraded" is is now very much the same as most other places.

This place used to be a wonderful haven for surfer types to hang out and was great to sit here and enjoy the wonderful views of Gwithian sands with a big bowl of cheesy chips. Sadly, since we were last here, it has gone very much upmarket, with a menu much reduced in price, but much increased in... read more

Nice spot but silly prices. Great views and nice outdoor dining area. The shop has some average gear for surfing but your better off going in to Hayle.

We've been to Sunset Surf many times and I have to say since the new menus I have always chosen the eggs benedict as my breakfast option simply because you can't get poached eggs cooked better! Delicious. The smaller cooked breakfast options work really well for the children and there is terrific choice at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is always... More

Had a lovely breakfast/brunch at Sunset Surf and was very impressed with food & service. Would've liked to return in the evening but ran out of time on our holiday unfortunately

We ate here twice once for lunch and also for evening meal. Food was fantastic and location is excellent. Perfect for the sunset. Service is also good but It's not cheap.

Always head to this cafe when in Cornwall. A seat on the verandah has a lovely view over to Godrevy Lighthouse. Always helful service, good food, and excellent coffee. They even managed to accommodate 14 people at short notice at the end of lunchtime (3 extra to the booking).

I live locally and my advice is forget those posh St Ives restaurants....this is the place to eat. Staff are lovely and although the menu is limited what they do cook is spot on. The chef clearly knows how a steak should be cooked! Book a table though as it gets busy this time of year. Cheers Al

It looks extremely inviting and very popular given it's the only cafe supporting the fantastic Gwithian beach. After a long journey down I was looking forward to a coffee, to enjoy on the beach and kick start the day. Whilst it was understandably busy at 11am and the queue to order took a good 10 minutes, after paying I was... More

You're the only cafe opposite a large car park! So people are going to come to buy things to get some change for the car park. It's inevitable, so why not embrace it, get a load of change in the till, and happily and politely make some money out of the fact. Tried to buy some drinks and asked for... More

Laid back atmosphere spectacular views, incredible beach 5 miles long! Easy parking , food is delicious cooked the way it should be and just what you need after all the fresh air . Although the opening hours could be longer I'd have breakfast there but it's not served until 10 & I'd love to have a beer and watch the... More
