Quirky place well worth a visit

When down in Hayle this is one of our coffee stops and the establishment whilst quirky is comfortable and the staff are welcoming and friendly.

We have travelled down from North Cornwall to purchase clothes for a wedding on two occasions now. The coffee is first class, the decor fascinating and the local handmade linen clothes are the very best. Always a delight.

We were going to visit the cafe for their incredible vegan breakfast but read reviews saying it no longer did food, so we called to ask and were gutted to find this was indeed the case. Nonetheless we wanted to go along anyway as they do sometimes do vegan cake. We turned up to find it had indeed shrunk, and... More

Stopped by for breakfast on Saturday morning to be met by a rude response from the lady serving/owner that they no longer do any cooked food - cakes only. They need to update their website and employ some staff with manners

Right in the heart of Hayle's World Heritage Site, Johnny's provides a calm and pleasant place to stop and relax. On nice days you can sit out front and enjoy the harbour view.

I always enjoy stopping at Johnny's, whether it's for a drink or for lunch. Lovely whole-food lunches, all vegetarian. A great place to demonstrate how imaginative and tasty veggie food can be. Am really hoping that Mirand re-opens. Hayle won't be the same without Johnny's.

We had a light lunch here, sitting outside in the sheltered front garden in the sun and it was delightful. Even the passing traffic and the sight of the building site that is Asda didn't dampen our enjoyment. The ambience is quirky and home-spun, but the service and food was professional and delicious. I had the vegetable burger with roasted... More
