Good food and nice friendly staff!

We were here in the afternoon for something to drink and went back in the evening to eat. An overall nice experience and atmosphere.

We were a group of 8. So a variety of meals were ordered. However there was a great discrepancy in the portion size dependent on what was ordered. If you had one of the roasts the plate was piled high. But if you ordered from the specials board, it was a different story and a small amount of food was... More

Went here with family, after some awful service at gook beach cafe. These guys were friendly and efficient. Lunch for 9 served in the garden, in 20 minutes. Food was fresh, quality produce and fairly priced. Will definitely return.

A first time for me at the Finnygook and it was very enjoyable. Nice to read all the good reviews listed as my thoughts too. We had a delightful meal.....superbly presented and very tasty and fresh. Prices a little on the high side but the food was first class. Friendly and very attentive staff. Thankyou.

Our last visit a year ago was disappointing, but what a difference a year makes! New owners, excellent welcome and service, and couldn't fault the food. Very busy when we arrived, and were advised straight away there would be a bit of a a wait, but it wasn't that long. Beautifully cooked food, well presented and very tasty. Will definitely... More

We visited Finnygook Inn during the Whitsun half term and it was by the best restaurant we have been to in quite a while. It was a shame we came across it so late in our holiday. The staff were welcoming and so very attentive unlike other pubs in the area. The menu was reasonably priced and the food was... More

The best place for a meal in Portwrinkle/Crafthole. Welcoming staff, excellent service, perfectly cooked food (best scallops I have had), superb selection of wines too. Dog and child friendly Ample parking on private car park or on roadside

Had one of the best roast dinners I have ever eaten!! Fantastic pork with all the trimmings and it was absolutely delicious! A really nice open place with lots of space which gives it an easy atmosphere and nice feel and there was a lovely veiw from where we were sat to top it! Staff were friendly and it would... More

Had stopped using the Finnygook because of poor service, etc. Went today for lunch with friends and was amazed at the tremendous change - just SO good!! And wonderful value for money. The food was delicious and the service without blemish - we immediately re-booked for next Sunday!! Hearty recommendation on the basis of today's experience!!
