Lovely lunch

Came here on a Saturday for lunch with family. My husband and I have eaten here a couple of times in the last month or so and its always been top notch hence the decision to book for a family visit on this occasion. Two out of the 3 starters were delicious (there was a little snag with the 3rd... read more

We were looking for somewhere different to eat and recommended the Finnygook to some friends. Then I read some of the older tripadvisor reviews and thought I'd made a horrible misjudgement so it was with trepidation we all arrived. I needn't have worried, the food was very good with very pleasant service. We will be back!

The children were fed right away then we had a long wait ffor our food. They apologised and compensated us with Free wine. Lovely food and views we will return.

Everything is cooked completely fresh to order (something we will never deviate from) and sometimes there are dishes that take a little longer than others to cook through- on larger tables there can be just one dish that will hold... Arrived from Surrey after a long journey for our 2 day stay at this delightfully charming hostelry. The food was superb and plentiful. So much so that we had to have an afternoon nap after eating our excellent Sunday Lunch which was fantastic. Our hosts were warm and friendly and the accommodation was good value for money. Not to mention... More

This restaurant /B & B was listed in the information I received from the navy when planning a stay for my son's passing out parade at HMS Raleigh. We were made to feel very welcome from the start, nothing was too much trouble. We ate here on both nights of our stay because we had been so impressed with the... More
