The Riverside Inn is located in a beautiful spot and the rear dining room has views of the river. Service was prompt and the staff were very friendly, however the food was average and presentation poor. I had an enormous mound of mashed potato on my plate which was rather off putting. We also found the food rather bland. As... More

This is a lovely restaurant located next to the river in the beautiful Valency valley. My partner and I booked our table easily in the evening, however we are told during the summer months that it can be difficult to get a booking. The restaurant is cosy but I guess it could do with a little interior updating. We were... More

Went here twice for dinner while on holiday in Boscastle with my son and his family .With 5 of us we sampled a good range of dishes all food was excellent, beautifully presented and there was a good choice. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere most agreeable. Would certainly recommend and would definitely return if in... More

We had enjoyed a wonderful lunch here last September and were keen to return but we're bitterly disappointed. All four of us who had enjoyed last year's lunch felt the quality of the food had deteriorated significantly, one can only describe it as cafe food at best. Not sure if it's a different chef but we wouldn't rush back. One... More

Had a yummy breakfast here after a cold clifftop walk the other day. Just me and the byf, walking along the beautiful coastal scenery. Popped in for a bacon sarnie and cup of tea afterwards and it was delish. Well worth a visit and we'll back to eat a proper meal too.

This restaurant is a superbly situated place by the river Valency. We use the restaurant for the carvery on Sunday's,which is excellent value for the price of £7.95. You have a choice of four meats, these are always gammon, pork, beef and turkey, and there are plenty of vegetables to go with it. There is a selection of lovely starters and delicious desserts.the service... More

Returned here again having visited last year. Weren't sure about restaurant closing times in winter so sent a quick e-mail to enquire (as no mobile phone service here). Received a very prompt response. Four of us had the great value soup and sandwich from the Daytime menu (just £6). Lobster bisque was tasty and nicely seasoned, as was the cream... More
