Should be ten stars.

My goodness, what lovely food! I so enjoyed the whole experience and really wish I could have taken advantage of the whole menu, but have quite a small appetite. However I did try a dessert one evening - the best Sticky Toffee Pudding in the Universe, and that's from someone who knows their sticky... read more

The restaurant had been recommended by previous occupants in the visitors book in the Cottage. For starters I had the Seafood Chowder and my wife the Lobster Fish Cake. Unfortunately the Chowder, when presented, was a rich yellow colour and looked like a jar of piccalilli had been empted in the bowl. Obviously it hadn't but the dish didn't have... More

Visited Boscastle, which is truly wonderful. The history of the floods in 2004 is all around. It is worth walking all the way past the breakwaters - the view is astounding. I stopped at the Riverside, and what a lovely place! Stone floors, great food and superb service. I believe it could be a great place to stay for a... More

We are on holiday in Boscastle on our first evening we decided to try the Riverside Restaurant and were not disappointed. There is a good range of fish and meat on the menu and the service is very good and friendly. A three course meal with a glass of wine for two persons is about £60. The food is very... More

had a lovely meal, really generous portions and fabulous deserts. They had a good choice on the children menu and everything was freshly prepared.

This was the best carvery I've had for a long time. The staff were lovely too and its really good value for money. There was a choice of meats, stuffing, yorkshire pud, and lots of veggies all piled onto the plate. I was stuffed!

Wonderful menu choices, quality food. A little on the expensive side but you are paying for quality not quantity.

From the moment we arrived, the waitress did all she could to make our visit a good one. My husband had the ribs, an enormous plate-full which he really enjoyed. I fancied crab so I ordered crab and lobster fishcake but was disappointed to find that it tasted of neither! The fact that it was covered by a large dolop... More

During our 4 night stay at The Riverside we ate in the restaurant two evenings and on both occasions the food was second to none. My husband;s steak was one of the best he had ever eaten - and so filling he struggled (but succeeded in managing a dessert)! We also very much enjoyed their sensational 3 course breakfasts which...
