I was looking for somewhere comfortable, friendly, not too noisy and had to be French cuisine. These were the requests of my father for his 93rd birthday and the 56th wedding anniversary of his and my mother's. I had been to Brula several years ago and liked it, just liked it. This time, it could not have been better!! We... More

Friendly, local froggie in Twickers. Well presented and tasty food but some dish portions can veer on the "economic" side. Considerate service in fairly tight surroundings. Densely printed, busy wine list surprisingly difficult to read in the evening gloom. Frequented by the mature, comfortable diner. Worth a try.

The food was certainly edible. But the portions were very small for main courses. Starters were fine but lack of yolk of a runny kind ruined the pork. Wine list a bit odd or at least hard work to read. Given great reviews before we were just left a little lacking.

This was my second visit at the charming French restaurant Brula in St Margarets where I live. The first visit ( one year ago) was disappointing. I am delighted now to discover that Brula under the new management offers delicious French cuisine, great atmosphere and excellent service. I took my daughter and the the kids for dinner and we had... More

An elegant French restaurant in St Margarets between Twickenham and Richmond. I've been here a few times over the years and have never been disappointed. The food is always of a high quality as is the service. I've been here with family and friends as well as with my wife. It can cater for all. I've had better snails as... More

On the occasion of an 86th birthday celebration the outstanding luncheon was complemented with special attention to the birthday girl.. This comprised a complimentary flute of champagne for all the guests and a special order of fresh strawberries presented delightfully with the words - handwritten in chocolate sauce on the rim of the plate - ' Joyeuz Anniversaire'. Furthermore, this... More

Quality french cooking. A short menu always well executed. Portions are not large but always tasty. Interesting, french, cuts of meat (eg onglet, bavette etc) cooked with care and attention to detail. If you don't have 3 courses (and the bread) you may go home hungry. All in all very enjoyable. Always a good, but not necessarily cheap, nighy out.

One of the best places to dine in. Staff are so professional. Food is perfect and reasonable price. I took my wife in her birthday and she was happy with it.

Had both lunch and dinner at this restaurant while staying in St. Margaret's. Nice French bistro, food is good. Not an extensive menu, but something for everyone. Last visit I had lunch with my son, and we had to wait a long time for our main course, otherwise no complains. Very good service from the staff.

We have been to Brula a few times now and have always loved it. It was my husbands birthday on Sunday so I booked for us to go to Sunday lunch as a surprise. As usual we were greeted very warmly and shown to our seats which were by the window. We love the quirky feel of the restaurant with... More
