Seven of us ate their last night for dinner. Great cocktails and for the first time for ages a menu where I literally wanted to try everything. Pasta course was outstanding and the hot and sour pork stunning. Interesting list of Italian wines at reasonable prices. Probably the best meal I have eaten in South West London so far this... More

Have been here countless times. And never once let down by food or service. Italian menu with heaps and heaps of imagination. Equally imaginative cocktail list. And a complex wine list suitable for a range of budgets. The option to get a two glass carafe of the expensive stuff for £20(ish) is clever and great lunch solution. Not cheap. But... More

Although I have lived close to this restaurant for many years,I made my first visit last night!! and what a pleasure it was. Fabulous food, very good service and a sensible attitude to corkage.£15 a bottle is very fair to me, although they do also have a very good wine list,if focused naturally on Italy. Prices are reasonable for the area.

The restaurant opens at 6pm, so is perfect for a pre theatre dinner. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service and a nice menu selection. We had the king prawns and the hake. The house wine (white) was very good. All served quickly as they knew we had to be at the theatre for 7:30. We will definitely go back when we have... More

Four of us went to A Cena for dinner on Friday evening. Started with the delicious orange cocktails and we had small Arancini to accompany them. Scampi Fritti (also delicious) was followed (for me) by the best rump of lamb I have ever had. SO tender. We finished with salted caramel ice-cream - yum! The service was friendly but a... More

We received a warm welcome at this very nice reataurant. Their signature negroni cocktail was delicious ! The food was beautifully cooked and served. The sweetbreads were very tasty as was the Vitello Milanese and the wine list was very comprehensive. Altogether a very enjoyable evening.

The cooking isn't complex and it's all the better for not being too ambitious. Perfect home cooked food prepared with care and presented with class and style. Lovely pasta dishes. Interesting and perfectly seasoned. Great for a stylish but relaxing supper. Not that cheap but worth it. But lose the paper table cloths please (it's one of my bugbears -sorry!)

This was a recommendation to one of our friends, so we rocked up early evening on a Friday, reservation having previously been made (apparently advisable to do so) If you are there before 7pm, you get the option of the express menu where for £8.50 (at time of writing) you get a delightful Parmesan and creme fraiche salad and a... Went there for lunch on a recommendation. We were the only diners. The first two wines we asked for were both out of stock. I have never encountered this at a restaurant. The food is smart Italian and we had to trawl the menu hard to find dishes that appealed. The food was well prepared and cooked when it arrived.... More

This is a lovely room, spacious and decorated in dark and cream colours which work well. There are fresh flowers and a genuine welcome. The food is delicious and bountiful ..... Lord only knows how much reviewers who have complained previously about portion size actually expect. We went with old friends who live locally and enjoyed scampi fritti, rocket salad,... More
