A Cena restaurant is located just over the Richmond Bridge in East Twickenham. A fantastic local italian restaurant set in a warm, friendly, elegant but relaxed atmosphere with a menu that constantly changes to suit the changing seasons and ensuring only the freshest and best ingredients go into our dishes. The wine list is superb ranging from small, modest Italian Vineyards to some of the great names and vintages. A Cena means "at dinner" and is pronounced "Ah Chenna"

My second visit to A Cena did not disappoint. Efficient, friendly but non-intrusive service, quality food in good portions, pleasantly busy yet relaxed atmosphere. Not cheap, yet good value. All-in-all, a fairly rare mixture in London restaurants these days.

An excellent evening in a traditional styled Italian restaurant. The waitresses were friendly, the food and drink being served quietly and efficiently without disturbing the ambiance of the table. The menu is quite limited in scope however as all appears to be freshly cooked, it is little wonder. There is enough choice for most palettes, although surprisingly little pasta? Starters... More

I only ever re-review restaurants if something changes. In the case of A Cena, I'm doing so because, after being a regular customer since it's inception around 12 years ago. this family run place has changed hands. The original owner has gone on to re-invent the legendary Joe Allen in London's Theatre District. For over a year he ran both,... More

Hadn't been for quite a while but knew that new management had taken over and was looking for somewhere local that a very well travelled European friend (I hadn't seen in three years) would be impressed by. I wasn't let down. A Cena has always blended elegance with informality and the place has retained that charming insouciance. The food was... More

I ate at A Cena with my husband last time I was in London. Pretty perfect for a hot date with the low lighting, dark wood vibe, gorgeous Italian food and amazing cocktails the bar serves up. It's out of central London but not far from Richmond where we were staying. Definitely going back next time we're there.

I don't normally review an establishment twice unless it's quality has dropped and the public must be informed. In the case of A'cena I will always make an exception. Every time I dine here, it gets better and better. This is the first time I have given 5 stars across the board, but then some correction has to made to... More

Me and my family have been going to this restaurant for a while now and we cannot fault a thing. The food is consistently good and the quality of all ingreditients exceptional. The staff are always friendly welcoming and cannot do enough for you. Everything is homade and it really does show, clearly a very talented chef with great attention... More

Rugby set menu. Food quality terrible. My children were unable to eat the steaks! The prawn and couscous dish could have, and tasted like it was prepared by a 5 year old. All for £50 per head ( adults and children). Disgusting effort to make maximal profit for terrible food. Not visiting there again.
