I've eaten here a few times, usually around a 'Rugby' trip, and never been disappointed. There is a wide & varied menu from pasta and risotto to Carne etc. all cooked to order and served with a friendly efficiency. This visit I started with Olives & Bread, then has the duck breast with cherry sauce & fried courgette, cooked rose... More

The pasta and main dishes are the best. I often think I can have a decent crack at Italian food at home but I'm not up to the standard of this place. Great staff, fresh food, cosy atmosphere and excellent value. I've probably eaten at OP over 50 times in the last few years :\

Delicious, beautifully presented, pleasant staff, fabulous atmosphere. A delight. We went on a Friday evening without a reservation at around 7.30 and huge place was lively with Italian music and a healthy number of people, without being overwhelming. We were sat by the window, which was excellent for people watching. Its location on Church Street makes the foot traffic on... More

Regular visitor with friends and solo occasionally. Good wholesome Italian cooking-love the Risotto. Attentive staff. Good choice of reasonable priced wines.

Went there for a celebratory meal with my parents - my mum has coffee there one morning every week but none of us had ever eaten there. The staff were very friendly and professional - not intrusive but definately attentive - anticipating the water jug needing a re-fill before we needed to ask and so on. The meal was superb... More

A 5 star experience on Church Street! Could not fault the service (amazing staff), food (proper bruschetta followed by the special - homemade pasta with crab meat) or atmosphere (dimly lit, tables spread apart for privacy). I hadn't been here for a few months, and had forgotten how great it is. Will be back again very soon.

A pleasant spot. We were seated by an open window. So often I have ordered bruschetta , which were actually served on pizza base. These were served on excellent bread. A first in years for me was liver on spinach, again excellent. A decently priced Barolo complemented the meal. The cheese board was generous. This is my second visit and... More

Warm friendly restaurant , highly recommend the gnocchi , which as vegetarian was as near to exotic as it gets in a restaurant , the bread was heavenly served with oil and olives , waiters and waitresses all very efficient and friendly , hope to visit again

My parents were visiting so we booked a table Saturday night after hours of walking around London so it was much anticipated. The setting was lovely and the restaurant has a lovely ambience. We ordered the second cheapest red wine and it was yummy. Re food we had the chicken penne which was fairly plain and could have done with... More
