We went to the restaurant on a Monday evening. It was quiet the service and food were very good and good value. We have been here numerous times both for lunch and evening meals. We have also been here for a number of functins and have never been disappointed.

We went for an early evening meal with the kids..... on England Rugby International day. A mistake one may think with an extremely busy lunch period having not long finished. But not a bit. The staff were friendly and very accomodating for the kids. The food was really flavourful and good value. In the daytime the restaurant has tranquil views... More

Visited with friends to take advantage of the Steak and chips special. Also ordered starters...the Minnestrone soup was very good...lamb skewer very tasty..... Two choose the rib eye steak accompaniid with excellent chips even without the free glass of wine was good value for around £16. The third guest chose the Fish Pie which tasted "lemony" which we were assured... More

Friendly, extremely helpful staff. Afternoon tea all you could hope for with plenty of piping hot tea, delicious scones, sandwiches, cakes etc. A truly wonderful afternoon and thank you very much. My daughter had nothing but praise for the lady who organised it all for her, It made the whole thing run very smoothly. We would highly recommend .

we've had dinner here twice in the last month and on both occasions the service and food have been very good indeed. The location is terrific, right by the river, with plenty of car parking. The restaurant has an interesting layout, with no tables too close to each other. we will be back.

There were three of us, we got seats overlooking river. We really enjoyed the fish and chips and the Moroccan chicken tagine. Desserts to share were enough for three of us. Wines a bit overpriced .Otherwise a good visit and we will be returning!

We hadn't been to The Wharf for a couple of years, despite living locally, after poor service in the past.....however this was a very pleasant visit on a Sunday by the river and we would certainly return on this showing. Good service of a range of menu items from Caesar salad, white onion soup and chicken liver parfait to salmon... More

Weekday night was quiet and location gives it a nice ambience with very attentive service. The food and wine were nothing special though for quite upmarket prices - steak was done nicely but chunky chips were floury and half a tomato and a leaf of parsley the only greenery makes for an unbalanced meal. Wife's burger abandoned half finished. Wine... More
