When we went it was very busy so service was a bit slower than I would like. Food was lovely although there is a question mark over the 'heat' of some of their 'hot' dishes madras, dhansak etc. We like spicy hot food and none of the 'hot' dishes we ordered were spicy enough, more like mild curries. Excellent setting... More

We used to eat at The Gaylord in Weybridge but our last 2 visits were extremely noisy to say the least. We were recommended to try the School of Spice and we are glad that we did. We had a meal there last night, the food was great and my wife said that it was her best Indian ever, which... More

Haven't been to this restaurant for a while and was glad to see that the standards were still high. Our party received a warm welcome from the staff and the drinks arrived promptly - which was just as well as it was a hot evening and the restaurant relies on fans rather than air-con. The menu is traditional but very... More

Whilst staying at a local hotel I fancied the delights of an Indian Meal, chanced upon The school of Spice and wasn't disappointed. The initial welcome was friendly and efficient a drink was ordered and the menu arrived promptly. the food was fresh and tasty and just what was needed. Good value too, a wholly enjoyable experience.

The first time we went to this restaurant (in April 2014), there were 3 of us. We were sat upstairs and really enjoyed the food. However, there was a downside which we thought was a one off on our first visit. The waiter was insisting that we "hide" our tip under the napkin when we were leaving so that he... More

Overall the restaurant and food is great, reasonably priced in a very nice but small old school building. It is a popular restaurant and very busy on Saturday night so you do need to take this into account regarding my comments. The plus for us was the welcome, being recognised and appreciated by the friendly staff. Food good, I tried... More

This is the best Indian restaurant around. I have been eating there for over 12 years and it is still the best, Great atmosphere , and service and run by very nice people who are friends.

I think that the School of Spice is the best of the Indian Restaurants in Shepperton. It was the old Victorian School House and still has some of the quirks The food is very very good and it has a nice relaxed atmosphere

I have visited most of the Indian restaurants in Shepperton and this is the best for quality and quantity, the standard no matter if you eat in or take away is always the same. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The cost is what you would expect.

We eat here on a very regular basis and it is our favourite Indian restaurant. The food is so tasty, the staff really good and the atmosphere very pleasant and relaxing. The prices are fair as the food is so good and you only get what you pay for. We will continue to enjoy meals out here for as long... More
