Personally, I believe this is the best indian restaurant in north west London. My family and I have been having takeaways and eating in for over 20 years now and the food is consistantly fantastic. My family has a range of dishes but the korma is the best I have ever tasted. The staff are always polite and thankful for... More

Visited this evening with two friends, was hurried through our meal and because they thought we'd had a drink our 'butter chicken' was actually tikka Marsala with a knob of butter on top! When queried one of the waiters admitted this but refused to rectify the situation and then they tried to overcharge us by nearly £20!! The food is... More

My husband and I have wanted a nice Indian meal for a while and we were not disappointed. A really cosy restaurant and the food is really lovely. The staff are very friendly and looked after us very well. We will definitely be returning.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say regarding the food at this delightful old style indian restaraunt. Very tasty and very reasonably priced. The only complaint we have with the place is the mind boggling speed at which the dishes arrived and disappeared from the table. Mcdonalds have nothing on these boys. I think the staff have been headhunted from... More

I have used this Restaurant for the last 25 years. It never fails to deliver. The owner is as passionate about this business as he was from day one and you will know this when he greets you. Most Indian menus contain variation if you step outside the Tikka/Korma stereotypes (which incidentally come up very well here). You just have... More

You are greeted nicely in this traditional indian restaurant but it is not for seasoned asian food connoisseurs like myself and my fellow diners. Starters arrived after the usual poppadom mountain and the sauces do not appear too fresh and are obviously not as hygienic as they could be which is clearly apparent. My onion bhajia were lovely and the... More

I've been to the Shapla many times and its still my favourite Indian restaurant for miles around. What really lets it down are the tables. They are too small to serve an Indian meal. You are constantly trying to juggle food and drinks around! Another frustration is that, wherever you sit, you are constantly disturbed by take away customers coming... More

The staff here make you feel most welcome when you arrive. We had just walked out of Venue 5 due to the total lack of service and ambience. This restaurant was so different. The food was fabulous, generous portions and a good selection of wine. I had the Salmon Tikka and received two large salmon fillets, which was so good.... More
