Lovely ambiance and food is delish!!!!!!!!!

Went here for the first time with our son, daughter in law and grandchildren for evening meal on Saturday. We received a very hospitable welcome and helped us all to sit comfortably as we had the baby buggy and we needed a high chair. How this is not Eastcote's No.1 Restaurant, we don't understand! We have eaten numerous meals over the 2 years we've lived locally, both at the restaurant and as a take away, and it never disappoints. The staff are very attentive and happy to give suggestions, the food is fantastically tasty every time, the ambiance is just right. Worth phoning ahead... More

I've only been here once before but I know it's popular with my kids but mum and dad gave it a try tonight. Nice welcome, asked where we'd like to sit. Simple to read menus, fast drink service whilst making our selections. I had chicken pakora which was delightful but almost enough for a main course! All our food was... More

Went there for a birthday, had a long wait and the food was only warm and the old bloke made us feel uncomfortable as he kept coming to the table. Before we finished he came with a tablecloth we had only been there for one hour. We still had drinks that we ordered and we had already paid which was... More

The place was quite busy so thought this was going to be a hidden gem. Unfortunately the chef has much to do here. The curries we had were very greasy. The menu had a large choice but if all the meals are greasy then this has to be given a miss in the future. Staff were pleasant.

I've eaten here quite often in the past but a recent visit was quite disappointing - the flavour and seasoning of the food is hit and miss - the sauce on the chicken achaar was more spicy than hot n sour - uncomfortably so. Onion bhajias should be crisp all the way through, not undercooked in the middle and although... More

Great service, fabulous food (very accommodating as there were people in our party who were vegan). They made special vegan dish. Definitely as place to visit again.

We eat at Shapla often its a minute walk from our house. The food is alright its sometimes hit and miss at this place actually. We like their meat samosa, make sure you ask them to have this well done as sometimes it comes a bit soggy. Lamp chops is nice. Hit and miss too depending if they have nice... More

What a sham! Shapla has been a favourite for years. Not sure what has happened, maybe a new chef? Food is just not what it used to be. Didn't feel as fresh as it should and even a little cold... Staff absolutely super but I was there for the grub not the friendly banter...

Went here recently with my partner, the service was good and there was a very quick service once ordered, no problems there. The starter was pleasant but not a lot of flavour, it was soup. The main courses resembled something from a tin, my partner had a fish masala, which looked like a large fish finger that had curry sauce... More
