Lovely place

quite expensive but worth it the food was excellent, and the owner was very nice. We had the regular haddock and scallops, both delicious

We arrived on a Friday night and were greeted by a wonderfully friendly manager. Seated upstairs, we were told about the fisherman bringing in his catch of the day and recommended a number of dishes. We chose dressed crab, scallops and chorizo, mussels in garlic and white wine sauce and a regular fish and chips. All the dishes were like... More

Firstly, thank you for such a kind review, it is much appreciated. We are fortunate to be able to sell such fresh, wonderful local seafood. I believe that on the day of your visit our fisherman had just brought in local sea bass, skate and Dover sole. I am realy glad you enjoyed your meal and we hope to see... More

Visited this lovely restaurant and takeaway for lunch. We were drawn in by the sheer choice of fish on the menu. My husband enjoyed a super crab salad and I cannot fault the mussels that I had ordered. I could not resist the home made chips either. I really did not need them with my mussels but they were so... Called in on spec as we had seen mixed reviews. But this place is brilliant. My wife is not a big sea food fan but she loved it. I had the battered scallops and it was great never had as many on a plate in my life. My wife rated this place better than Maggie cafe in Whitby and I... More

I took my friend here for his birthday. We both had crab salad....I could have bought a better value dressed crab in the local shop, we obviously had the end of the chips which were small and very crunchy. The salad was straight out of a bag, my friend had green, red and yellow peppers, I only had green! It... More

Thank you for your review. I am disappointed that you did not enjoy your meal with us; a rare occurrence. I have discussed your issues with staff involved and have carried out. an investigation. I gather you would have preferred sea trout and potatoes. Sadly we not always have potatoes on the menu and on the day you visited we... More

If you like fish - this place is definitely fish heaven, the portions, served from a very varied menu, are huge and the fish so fresh it is difficult to keep on your fork. Loved it so much and was sorry I didn't get a chance to return. Patrick the owner, was wonderful and so attentive.

Visited for the second time in two weeks; we were bowled over, once again, by the quality of the food and the excellent, friendly service. The house wine was a very nice Muscadet Sur Lie. A 60 mile round trip for us but, as seafood lovers, well worth it. Thank you!
