What a lovely find!

I went with family to Bridlington recently when we came across this cafe. It just looked so quirky and far nicer than the tacky greasy spoons you can find in that area! Also a sign said there was a garden where dogs were allowed so that was perfect. The cafe was done out so nicely both inside and... read more

Having taken elderly mother for an appointment in town we were looking for a quick cup of tea and just gave this a try as we were parked nearby. We live in the town and are used to the usual fair so were totally amazed by this place. A real old world feel, excellent service, china cups nice choice of... More

I would never have known about this till my friend suggested we try it. Friendly and cute decor with the cats and the wishing tree. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. Do not visit Bridlington without trying this out for lunch or just for a cake and drink. Will definitely be going again.

This is my 3rd review of this cafe - the other 2 when it was the Rowan Tree. Under the original owners it was fantastic - then there seemed to be a bit of a hiccup with some interim owners, although reviewer Audrey Bennett raved about it, I suspect she was the owner based on her only other review! Anyway... More

Me and my family went to Bridlington just for a trip out and dislike the normal greasy spoon cafes and American style diners so we went just a little off the beaten track to discover this absolute gem! The staff at the wish cafe were so inviting and couldn't be more helpful. My boys had delicious cakes which we were... More

We have been to The Rowan Tree on numerous occasions and have been waiting for The Wish Cat Cafe to open. We were out for a walk and decided to give it a try early one morning for a coffee. A very friendly welcome awaited in a revamped cafe with cats everywhere and china pots - lovely decor along with... More

We visit the Rowan Tree every time we go to Bridlington from Newcastle and have never been disappointed. The cafe is now under new ownership and the new owners are seeking to carry on and improve the provision of gluten free options on their menus. We will be back again when we holiday in Bridlington in July.

I first visited the Rowan Tree when it it had the shop next door, quirky decor and a beautiful garden out the back. The shop and the decor are long gone and the garden a shadow of it's former self. The food was pretty average cafe food, no complaints but nothing to set it apart from the other 50 similar... More

we hope you visit again and try The Wish Cat Cafe. We opened the last week in July and specialise in home cooked food cooked from scratch all gluten free (there is choice of gf or regular bread, however). The garden has been tended and is looking super pretty and there is enough quirky charm to suit the most eclectic... More
