We had seen the good reviews and arrived to see a blackboard outside saying lunch served. There were 3 tables occupied on arrival at 12.40pm and most of the others had reserved signs but there was one free by the bar. Having ordered our drinks we asked the young man behind the bar for a menu. He told us they... More

Good food but Sunday lunch was swimming in gravy, a small gravy boat would have made all the difference!

The place is quaint and has had new management and a make over. There's a separate restaurant area and tables in the main bar area, doesn't matter where you sit the food is excellent and the beers are kept well. Booking is essential to avoid disappointment. Very dog friendly!

A small quaint pub on the edge of the village. Well worth the drive out there. Recently had a make over and new management. The food has always been excellent and the beers are kept well. I've eaten in more expensive places and not enjoyed it as much as Uncle Tom's

Nice cosy little pub. Good choices on the menu but not hugely extensive. I had the beef pie, my husband had the burger and my 3 year old had the fish and chips. All were lovely, fresh and hot. The batter on my sons fish was absolutely amazing. Lovely staff working behind the bar and a nice atmosphere.

What a wonderful evening with friends. The food is always great and the service superb. Three of us had fish and chips and one the beef pie. The fish was cooked to perfection, very succulent and the batter beautifully golden and crisp. The beef pie was very tender and tasty and Luis makes the best mushy peas. The staff are... More

It was my first time of eating at UTC for quite some time and it was fantastic! There were 6 of us, early in the week (so after the regular early evening bunch had left, it was pretty quiet). The service was great - all the staff are friendly and the food was wonderful. Proper portions, presented well, everybody enjoyed... More

It was a lovely lunch. Also a delicious pudding. My daughter had a half portion roast and it was a generous portion.
