Superb food

I have not been to this pub for 20 years until someone recommended it recently. What a difference. The food is really sensational - menu has a choice of classics eg fish and chips, fish pie (photo below), steak etc. All executed beautifully with top quality ingredients. Chose this place to celebrate my sisters birthday as had been last year and was impressed. Wow, the food was all delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. My fish and chips was the best around by far, my mums duck was also excellent. Service was friendly and professional. Will be returning again soon.

Came here last Sunday to try their highly recommended Sunday lunch and it was fantastic! Sorry mum, but you've been outdone! Over saw someone having the cod and chips which looks very tasty, will be returning soon to try it!

We turned up today without booking for Sunday lunch. We both had the roast although there were many other things on the menu. I had the shoulder of lamb ethics was very tender and my boyfriend had the beef. Both plates were full of meat and vegtables. No room for any desserts the place was full and had a good... More

Lovely old pub tucked away in Cookham Dean. Not been before but liked the decor , log fires and cosy atmosphere. Service was really polite and friendly. The menu is well thought out and concise but plenty of choice. My crab mayonnaise starter was fresh and tasty. My partners fried ham hock was equally good. We both opted for the... More

Met an old friend for lunch at Uncle Tom's Cabin today, having only been there once before, a good few years ago when it was just OK ... and wow! What a discovery! Smart, tasteful décor, extremely friendly staff, but above all, really tasty and imaginative food. The short rib of beef pie with mash was unusual and quite delicious,... More

Enjoyed a great Sunday lunch with friends at Uncle Toms Cabin. We had not been here for years and were impressed with the pub that had recently been refurbished and has a lovely garden with its own outside bar. Set in a good location with a good choice and quality of food. Friendly staff, would recommend,

Great Boozer, superb 'proper' pub food expertly prepared by Chef Proprietor Louis and attentive service by the rest of his team. Great rear Garden if you are bringing the Family. Braised Rib of Beef Pie - to die for. I'm back for more pie.

The pub is a little small inside but the garden is pleasant with tables and some large logs. There is a large walnut tree that gives some shade. They have a small menu which we didn't have time to indulge in but three ales, courage best, brekspears and London pride. All the ales were well kept and the staff are... More

Great all round food, service and puddings to die for. Louis who came from the Chequers Brazzerie down the road has injected a real homely atmosphere into the place and made it a real treat to visit. Couldn't rate it highly enough.
