Visited this pub as we had heard that Louis, previously head chef at The Spring Inn (where we had found the food exceptional), was now working from here in his own place. As we expected, the food was exceptional. Generous portions, great value and delicious. Well worth a 45 minute drive to follow this Chef's handiwork. Had a chat with... More

I do like this small country pub however I do not think the quality of the food produced had quite the tastiness of our previous visits earlier in the year. It seems to me something has been lost ... maybe it is a new chef not so used to producing homely food... anyway I hope it just ups the game... More

Old school pub. Didnt try the food. Quite cramped and one lady on the bar struggling to serve, so took a while to get drinks.

Nice to have a pub that remains a pub and not solely a restaurant. The food was good (not Michellin as suggested ,but still good),reasonable selection of wine and the service was not too obtrusive.Didn't break the bank either,so all in all a pub with food that was not disappointing or pretending to be something else

Without a doubt an outstanding meal. So thankful to experience a village pub that serves food that is above Michelin Star status. Very refreshing. Not sure how long it will be to experience this at pub prices! Absolutely a must to all that know and like good food

How refreshing, two fabulous Sunday roasts with friends and consistently good? This pub was a great local to us down the years but chose to go elsewhere because of the atmosphere. Well, no longer, lovely to see life back in a village local and packed to the gunnels with happy customers. Congratulations Luis and team, it's just like old times.... More

We heard about this place on a facebook group. The website didnt come up on google which we wanted to do to see the menu. I assume this is because it has been recently taken over. We decided to give it a try anyway based on photos and reviews on maidenhead group. We were not disappointed. The chicken pate starter... More

Reccomended by a friend and decided to try for food. Ended up a lovely afternoon of food and plenty of drinks due to a fab, cosy friendly and family feel. Perfect for friends and food. Superb roast and great beers. Parking was ample. Cant wait to try beer garden in the summer.
