We had a meal for my 50th birthday with my husband, two sons and mum. What a fabulous time we had. The service was brilliant, the food sublime and the setting second to none. Did this come cheap? No but you pay for what you get. We had a fabulous experience and paid what we class as value for money... More

The food and service is just second to none! Second time eating here and didn't disappoint again. You need a full bank balance but you need to do this every so often. Even my handbag had a table to be put on!

Hmmmm. When ET suggested we eat here I confess I was not overly keen. I'm long over my obsession with Michelin stars and I was worried I would be spending hard earned cash on perfectly acceptable food at somewhere trading off location and it's reign as longest 3* held in the UK. So in one sense I was not disappointed.... More

We first went to The Waterside just after we were married in 1964 so it seemed appropriate to go back again, 50 years on. It was then the best restaurant in the area and now for us it must be the best restaurant in the UK. The dining room ambience and view, the food, wine and service, the bedroom for... More

Had a wonderful experience at the Waterside Inn, I booked a room there overnight(have done a separate review on the accommodation) and a meal in the restaurant. Heard and read so many good things about it I had to find out for myself. Wasnt disappointed. First off what a fantastic view, early evening, still light and a great view of... More

My wife and I had lunch at the Waterside Inn during a recent visit to. Bray. Having had a superb dinner at the Fat Duck the night before, it was always going to be inevitable that comparisons would be drawn between the Waterside Inn and the Fat Duck (as much as the type of food they serve differs vastly). I'm... More

My sister and I went there for Sunday lunch. We arrived early and had the pleasure of sitting outside on the terrace for a drink and canapes. Our lunch was what we expected and excellent. Service was great too. My sister's gluten intolerance was well catered for. The ambiance was fantastic. The "people watching" was almost as good as the... More

It was our Ruby Wedding anniversary in August and I decided to treat my wife and our daughter to an anniversary lunch at The Waterside Inn. It was a totally wonderful experience from the moment my car was whisked away by the door team to be parked. We were shown through to the riverside terrace where we had a glass... More
