My husband and I were taken here by my employers as a retirement treat for me. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I will always treasure the memory. You are made to feel so special and nothing is too much trouble. The food is second to none and the ambience of the place is amazing.... More

I was lucky enough to be brought here for my birthday lunch - what a treat! Wonderful, charming staff. Knowledgeable, professional but not stuffy, they were all really friendly. The setting is delightful. It was raining horrendously when we arrived and it was still beautiful to look out onto the river through the trees. Food? Well, what could I possibly... More

My parents used to go there and I wanted to feel like being in their shoes some 30 years ago! In fact I was a second generation customer with a second generation *** Michelin chefs, just superb food, setting and service. The manager certainly knows how to make you feel welcomed! Time just stops as one walks in for the... More

Visited for Sunday Lunch, a Christmas present and what wonderful experience, we were met by the doorman who with a smile accepted the car keys took it and parked it for us and showed us inside where another smiling face greeted us, checked our details took our coats and then showed us to our table. Being one of the earlier... More

This place is as classic as they come and compares with the French top 10. It's the second visit last year we went for lunch, thought we should try dinner this time, what a treat. The fine mousse line of lobster topped with caviar was superb to follow the grilled rabbit with chestnuts to finish the mixed plat of desserts.... More

We stayed the night here as part of my wife's birthday celebration. This is unashamedly a French restaurant and I simply cannot understand some of the negative comments I've read here lately. It is as good as anybody could wish. The whole experience was fabulous and I cannot imagine better genuine good service or genuine French haute cuisine anywhere. We... More

This is a multi Michelin starred restaurant and as such my family had great expectations which sadly were not met. We were expecting amazing food and amazing service. On both counts you could substitute the adjective amazing with average The food was good but not good enough. Forgettable would be the best way to describe it and to be honest... More

My wife and I visited the Waterside Inn for my wife's birthday; we also decided to stay over. The food is a true fine dining experience and the staff exceptionally attentive. The room we stayed in was beautiful and the room service in the morning was impeccable. If you're not familiar with this level of fine dining some people may... More

Best food I have eaten in the most pleasant of settings, with beyond marvellous staff. Have booked in again for March. Superb!
