until you have dined here you have no idea what gastronomical dining is. Ramsey not a patch. Marco Pierre White not a patch. Its willy wonka in heaven! just fab. Cant wait until the menu changes as would dine here everytime there was a special occasion. Yes its hugely expensive but the work and attention to detail is worth every... More

The experience was once in a lifetime and I recommend anyone who has the opportunity to visit the fat duck to do so. Whilst one may need to save up some fair penny for the privilege it is well worth it. Heston and his gastronomic magic worked wonders and definitely played mind tricks as what you taste did not necessarily... More

It really is wonderful. The bill for two for food, pairing wines and service came to £800. I would normally only consider spending that sort of money on something if I can drive it away. However it's well worth making an exception for this, it really is a life experience. The only down side is it's a bit like flying... More

This has been on my bucket list for a long long while, and I finally managed to justify it due to a double celebration. I was hugely excited, and was looking forward to something I knew was likely to be something I would only experience once in my life. I was not disappointed. From the attentive service to the elegant... More

Primarely you would visit this Restaurant for its gastronomic madness, the creativity in presenting the food, the seashelfs with seabreeze, the foam crawling along the plates, the surprises in each course - never being a dissapointment - the second option if you dont eat froi grass, and I fully enjoyed the passionate waiters all 5 of them for our table... 4 and a half hours of my life and totally worth every (& plenty) penny of mine. Almost cried when I tasted the first course

A meal at the fat duck is a whole sensory experience, not just a meal. The food is exceptional and if you can afford it, go for the wine pairing too - the wines are brilliantly matched to compliment and enhance the food.

Ok, the concept is a bit dated now but we could forgive that. What we couldn't forgive is the standard of the food itself for the price. The overpriced tasting menu was completely underwhelming for pretty much every course. If you must visit a "Heston" then try the pub snacks (and chips) from on the pubs he owns in the... More

What else is there to be said... Heston Blumenthal, you sir are a genius. From the very first course (Nitro apperitifs) to the very last (Like a kid in a sweet shop) this really has to be the best experience i've ever had in a restaurant... I think my favourite dish was the hot and iced tea purely from a... More

o.k. so it's not cheap - but worth saving up for if you have a special occasion. I went with my daughter and her husband. Daughter is both Coeliac (gluten intolerant) and lactose intolerant - she can eat no dairy. She had advised The Fat Duck of this when making the booking and they were well prepared. We were greeted... More
