Superb dining experience

My second visit but my husband's first. He was not looking forward to it, because in his opinion what food could be worth this amount of money. His conclusion was that he had been blown away. Okay you don't come out of the restaurant, which has been beautifully refurbished by the way, thinking that... read more

I was fortunate enough to be given this visit as a combined present for my birthday and Christmas by my daughter. It is very difficult to put into words the levels of excellence I experienced at The Fat Duck. Sublime does not get anywhere near describing the flavour experiences you encounter throughout The Journey. I know it is expensive, but... More

The reputation of the Fat Duck exceeds itself and it is not without reason. The service is impeccable, the food is interesting and very good and the ambience is fantastic. What may surprise you is just how small the Fat Duck is but its great. Can't really fault it, except the price which is quite painful but if you are... More

My wife and I Iove The Fat Duck. It is my wife's favourite restaurant and so for her 40th, we managed to book a table. Service is still excellent but sadly, I can't say the food was first class. Everything tasted fine, is well cooked and well presented and to be fair, there was less on this new menu that... More

Two of our sons gave my wife and I lunch at The Fat Duck as a special birthday present. I wasn't sure what to expect other than the fact that it was going to take five hours and there would be seventeen courses! What we found was absolutely stunning. This is not just lunch in the conventional sense but an... More

Our 4th visit and last based on this experience. Previously we have enjoyed the taste sensations above all, the experience is fun but it has always been about the taste. Sadly since the Australian adventure, things have turned sour. Whilst interesting the dishes left us wanting as the taste buds were not excited. Nothing stood out and wowed us and... More

We have eaten at the FD a couple of years ago and wouldn't believe it could be improved, well it can. Our experience included not just incredible food, service but there were tears, laughter and so much more. It's vital to get the best from this experience, do reply to the questionnaire, I won't spoil the surprises but this touch... More

This is truly a journey of gustatory discoveries. From the moment your welcomed at the door you feel your in for a treat. So many innovative edible ideas. The food preparation was out of this world. It made the mind boggle. If anyone can do it Heston can and he delivers beyond your wildest dreams. Highly recommended. If you have... More

Would go again if my purse would allow. Every dish a journey of joy. Love the dolls house if the restaurant. Great service and fine wine bit on the expensive side but to honest if you can't afford it don't go.

Visited TFD shortly after it first opened way back when. Amazing a la carte or taster menu. In those days it was genuinely revolutionary. Went back again when they started the taster only regime. Still brilliant. Went again last night after refurbishment. Utterly brilliant in every way. We had the wine flight. Notwithstanding another review I read about glass sizes... More
