Treat it as an experience rather than a mere meal and you will not be disappointed. The gastronomic equivalent of a wimbledon or champions league final. While you will certainly pay for it, it was a truly memorable and thoroughly enjoyable theatrical event. Amazing food and unstuffy relaxed atmosphere. Loved every minute - would I go again? - Probably with... More

You could spend hours reading every single review on here and make up your own mind about how much you may - or may not - enjoy The Fat Duck even before you go or even without actually going at all. The truth of the matter is that Michelin stars will decide how popular and busy this place is without... More

Difficult to book but worth the wait. It's completely unpretentious, staff are very friendly, and the food is just sensational! I don't want to give too much detail and spoil it but you're in for a surprise and you even get to see the tiny little kitchen where all the magic happens! As a real foodie, I'm so happy I... More

Took my parents here. Went for the tasting menu. Lots of interesting combinations and taste sensations. Every first mouthful was accompanies by a "wow". Trouble was, there weren't enough of the dishes that made me really, really want a second mouthful. I'm very glad I visited … but not sure whether I would repeat the experience in a hurry.

Everything you would expect from this restaurant - drama, flair, magic. We had an unforgettable 4 hrs here and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. I don't know if it was the "best" tasting food I've ever had but it was certainly one of the most memorable meals. Totally worth it.

We came here after eating at the Hinds head and Dinner both by Heston. Having eaten in many fine dinning establishments I had very high hopes. Sadly they were not entirely met. The food - was exceptional. Everything was just so, and tasted divine. Tables appear to be served by times, meaning if you are seated later in the service... More

I take pride in being able to find something wrong with anything (I'm a natural-born nit picker). That "Fat Duck" at Bray has me defeated. I've eaten in a small number of Michelin starred restaurants, whose main drawback is that the business is run as if it is a place of worship - they are doing you a favour by... More

It was a truly a memorable dinner for me and my partner. After watching several Heston Blumenthal's programmes we had sort of knew what to expect. But to taste those dishes in Fat Duck was still so delightful and fun. And then I became quite *paranoid* that I kept asking my partner if this or that could be eaten as... More

Tremendous. Food is fabulous and must disagree with those who think otherwise - Michelin stars are hardly awarded on "theatre" alone and so those who regard the food anything other than delicious have to be questionned... It is not unreasonable to not like every single course (though i loved each and every one) - there are 12 after all, and... More
