We have had to clean our own tables when we have come here. The cutlery is dirty and the beef was tough. The food weren't good.

We have visited several times before and find that the standard varies quite a lot, it's either quite good or just so bad it's a joke. On ths occasion it was the latter. I was looking forward to the spicy prawns, only to find that they had been taken off the menu so I had the garlic prawns in butter.... More

We arrived and their was some confusion over the booking. Soup was nice. Alisa's starter was over cooked. The food as a whole was good for a pub. The staff were helpful and friendly. Other Peoples food took a while to arrived but it was busy. The good thing about the Carvery is you can help yourself to as much... More

Large family party of 13 people, booked for 2pm on a sunday afternoon for a birthday get together. We were comfortably accommodated together with 2 high chairs, in warm and comfortable surroundings. Like many carveries it's essentially self-service, pay and the bar then take your ticket and collect your meal. At times there were long queues for food, it looked... More

We went there to celebrate a family member turning 18, as that is where they wanted to goand celebrate with family and friends. We booked a table as one member of our party is disabled and in a wheelchair, so we needed a table big enough to accomodate a large party with a wheelchair. Upon arriving there we had to... More

I have eaten several times at the Micker Brook since my last review and each time was as good as the time before. My friend and i had lunch there on Monday (16th Nov) and once again we had a lovely meal from the carvery. Good food, good value and the choice of or all of the three meats and... More

I did not enjoy!! We ordered starters and waited about 40 mins ( garlic bread with cheese and gammon on!) the food was really dry! And they seemed short staffed!

Having been attracted by the cheap and cheerful meal offers advertised outside, I went there for the serve-yourself breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food offered - and the choice. Nice to see, in addition to the expected ingredients (bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, hash browns, toast...) fried bread on the breakfast menu again, and... More
