Stayed here on 02/03/2014 and had the carvery, couldnt fault the carvery at all, there was 4 meats all cooked to perfection, and loads of veg and potatoes, extremeley busy place but no-one had to wait too long for a table. Staff were really efficient and friendly and the place was just as a good relaxed restaurant should be, with... More

The food is not bad and quite good value. Of course prices are made up considerably by the price of puddings and drinks. Shame you can't book on Sundays, but there are many good viable alternatives in the area.

My daughter recently stayed over night at the hotel. Very helpful when checking in, room slightly lacking, but a comfortable stay. Checked out on Saturday morning, went to work and realised that she had left her Thomas sabio bracelet on te dressing table. Tried to contact the hotel, no one answering the phone. Eventually I went round at 2pm to... More

This is the second year we have used this venue for our walking groups xmas lunch. Fantastic. We paid £14.50 for a 4 course lunch including filter coffee and a mini mince pie. We were expertly served with our starters table by table and the management also drafted in extra staff to serve us at the bar. Starters well presented... More

Used to be average-good but on our last visit slipping more to below average-just average, more choice of meats than they used to have and all meats were nice, but Yorkshire puddings were soggy under done and crackling was not edible - selection of veg and potatoes all acceptable but have had better here. Service was not as good as... More

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel/inn in March. I was already aware that check-in is at the bar in the main lounge so this didn't phase me. The manager allowed us to check in an hour early because the room was ready which was a plus for us and we came down and sampled the carvery immediately. Highly recommended.... More
