Hidden gem

Cracking little Greek restaurant, we go here at least once a month despite Tony telling us the same jokes every time! The staff are friendy & welcoming, the food is delicious & it's always a struggle to decide what to have right up until the moment I order (I'm usually torn between ordering the... read more

A real favourite for family gatherings or nights out without the kids - VERY good value for food, but not cheap - it's good food! One of owners/waiters is very funny (as he is bizarre!) but his jokes are abismal! Only about 8-10 tables and its a bit of a hidden gem, unless you know about it...greek/mediterranean food is delicious.... More

Just back from a long overdue return to The Rozafa. Only our second visit since moving to Devon four years ago. Lovely to be greeted as a returning friend by Tony. We were hoping to see him and have a few jokes. Not disappointed - Sold a Hoover on eBay, it was just gathering dust! On to the food, as... More

Our first visit and from the outside very modest you could easily walk past it. The entrance up a flight of stairs is again modest and you wonder what you will find. Once inside it is quite pleasant but not at all grand. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The starter we had was 2 small meze and it was... More

I went to this taverna after searching for places to eat in Stockport. It's a hidden gem! If you don't know where it is then it's possible you'd walk past it or simply miss it altogether. It's a small door & up a flight of stairs. Relatively small taverna that probably seats about 50 to 60 diners if full. The... More

We visited once again for a birthday meal, the staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. This restaurant is a hidden gem and is missed by many people due to its location. After a few visits now I would still recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

The pitta and dips starters are absolutely fabulous and a definately 5 stars. The chicken kebabs are also super delicious, 5 stars also. Service has been a bit slow on occasion, and the manager (?) is erm mm..... Unusual. On recent visits it has been a bit empty, which is a shame because with a bit more atmosphere this would... More

Just shocked! was okay to start of with but when the waiter was coming out with jokes every 5 minutes wasn't my thing, the room or 'Upstairs' smelt of stagnant/Stale water what had been left, but lets crack on ordered drinks everyone got it right but when apple juice gets mixed up with cranberry juice you know its a start for... I've dined at Rozafa, Stockport for many years and have always been impressed with the quality of food and at very reasonable prices. However, I feel that since Rozafa number 2 opened in Manchester, the Stockport venue has been going down hill. Although the food is still good, the service has been terrible on our last few visits. We visited... More
