Had another lovely meal here again with OH. He had steak I had beef stroganoff. But beware the portions are huge!!!. Mine would probably have fed two people. Nice quality food. Service good, not over friendly. Price I would think just a little more than your average pub grub, but worth it.

Yet another lovely meal in this lovely pub/restaurant. We never come away disappointed. The hilltop location with it's amazing view over Manchester just adds to the whole experience. Good food, nice ambience and friendly staff.

Visit this place quite often, don't tend to stray from the normal 'pub' favourites (I recommend pies, steaks, Sunday lunch and the liver and onions). Portions are generous and the veg is tasty. Chips are nice but can be undercooked at times- Staff are usually very accommodating however today it was mega busy so a bit slow. Kid friendly in... More

We were looking for somewhere different for a pub meal, our mum likes good old plain cooking, so we searched online and found this pub and what a great find. The food was lovely, the food was plentiful and portion sizes were enormous and all at a reasonable price for the quality provided. We would certainly recommend a visit here.

Excellent food not been here since my boy was little he's now 31. Lamb chops and shepherds pie to die for. My husband had the suet pudding and says it's the best hes had. Coming back next week for sunday lunch.

Wow what can I say. I was simply blown away by the sheer choice of food here to begin. Don't be fooled by just the menu either, their specials board is huge. I've been a few times now for lunch and dinner and each time has been a new dish and a new experience. Do you like big dishes? Then... More

We have had enjoyable meals here in the past and took a friend here for dinner last week. The food was not as good as we have previously had. My smoked haddock and salmon risotto was lovely, as was my friend's salmon fillet but the vegetables - carrots and cabbage - were over cooked. My husband's steak and kidney pudding... More

Brilliant food as always. I have been going to The Roebuck for a number of years now and it never lets you down. The food and service is spot on and a good atmosphere all year round.
