What a transformation

I vowed never to go again after my last visit but was tempted after I heard it had changed hands and was pleasantly surprised. The new decor was long overdue, now there is a nice light airy feel to the place, the staff were all friendly and polite, the beer tasted like beer not solvent and the... read more

I loved this place when I was younger - 20 years ago, many a sunday evening was whiled away with friends. In fairness we never ate - it was just a nice pub. We had heard mixed things for years but given the recent reviews and knowledge it was in new hands again, gave it a try for sunday lunch... More

What a shame this pub has had such bad management for the past 3 years and has got to put up with all the previous bad reviews on tripadvisor. As a local, we have seen this pub go further and further downhill with each successive owner/manager, (3 in the same number of years) but at last things seemed to have... More

Called in with out reserving a table, the staff fitted us in. With the recent change of ownership the decor has changed very modern with a simple a la carte menu. The three of us ordered the sirloin on the bone, with chunky chips , it was amazing I would recommend this if you like a good steak. The chips... More

Just been here first time since it re-opened and the initial feelings were really good. Unfortunately this soon disappeared when it's clear that the owners are happy parking in the two disabled car parking spaces with their two white Range Rovers!! Secondly, should you not like being surrounded with drunks swearing and still being served ( well after their sell... More

Just had a really delicious meal here. I had never been here before although my companion had before it had been refurbished. Lovely decor, spacious surroundings and in the heart of the countryside. Great menu, not overpriced. I had the pulled pork bap with chips and it really was amazing food. I will definitely be back. Loved it !

We heard it had changed hands and so went to try Sunday lunch at The Brook today. Whilst menu looked nice, we were disappointed that they didn't have Sunday lunch and so we plumped for alternatives as we were keen to try. As it happened, they do do Sunday lunch - hurrah! So we quickly changed our order. It would... More

Obviously have enough Regulars to keep them going - so we won,t disturb you Again. Food was OK & the young lady who served us was lovely. No atmosphere - except for the. Smoke from the open... More

The brook used to be the place to be. Now I can say it will be again. Taken by surprise popped in on way home after day out with children,to find the beautiful pub has now the owners to match it's surroundings. If you want a touch of class it's the place for you. They have refurbished to a high... More
